Good for big cats if…
good for bigger cats in the middle panel is not installed, it’s still pretty sturdy and holding up well at 6+ months
Really needs to have replacement parts available
I bought this a year and a half ago, and it immediately became my cats' favorite place to hang out. It is very heavy duty cardboard, and is still mostly in great condition after over a year of constant daily use. The top and side scratcher platforms are getting quite worn down, and I would love to buy replacements for just those parts. When I originally bought it, it was $40, now it's up to $75. I hate to spend that much to replace the entire thing.
Cats love the penthouse
I wasn't sure how sturdy this would be since it's all cardboard, but it's been great so far. Very easy to put together and my cats love it! I was looking for some extra scratching spots for them and this worked out perfectly. They utilize all three levels, whether it's scratching or sleeping. Would definitely recommend!
Happy cats
We bought the Meowhouse last year and our cats loved it! Lots of interative play in and around it. I did have to use duct tape to hold the tabs in place because rambunctious play would cause the whole thing to come apart. They wore it out and we replaced it with the "Penthouse", because I thought they would like the top story "lounge". I was right, this one is as big a hit as the"Meowhouse." I highly recommend these Petique structures, as do my two cats (one is 2 and the other 9).
The Search is Over!
Love this scratcher! It was super easy to put together and much better quality than 2 we have purchased in the past. My 2 boys each weight 13 lbs and are 1 1/2 years old. They have been jumping in and on it and scratching it like crazy and it hasn’t even jiggled under their weight. It is expensive but so far I believe it’s going to hold up much better, so worth it!

I have this in front of a picture window. My cat spends hours lounging on it and watching the birds and the neighbors' comings and goings. She loves scratching on the sides. This is the second one I've purchased. The first one is still in use at another location in the house. This one cost 1.5 times what I paid 18 months ago. The cost is exorbitant. I won't be buying again unless the price drops back down. Given the cost, it would be nice if I could purchase replacement parts, particularly the side pieces since they get the most wear and tear from all the scratching.

This penthouse is quite rugged even though made of cardboard. The 10 mo old kittens using it are notorious cardboard chewers but have not been able to wreck this! The cardboard is very thick and sturdy and there are so many places to scratch! There is usually one lounging on the top too.

Quite easy to set up, if your cats aren't around while doing it...It's very sturdy for cardboard I find., especially when they jump from my bed to the Penthouse which is about 4 feet away under the window. It's purrrrfect !

Got three happy kittys now. This company makes great products, which they would consider making refills for the scratching boards. Mocha's the biggest kitty and the middle has no problem holding her. Thank you to Chewy for finding such great products to spoil our babies.
