Ingredients

Occult Blood Test Mixed Cat Litter

Occult blood is an early warning sign of nearly 20 common feline urinary diseases. With this Petkit health monitoring cat litter, you can monitor your cat's urinary health daily. The litter is 99% dust-free and flushable, too.

Quick Color Change That Lasts 7 Days

The detection particles turn blue within 3 seconds when exposed to trace blood and maintain the result for 7 days. The concentration of blood in the urine can be gauged by the intensity of the color.

Fast Clumping, Odor Control

With excellent liquid absorption, this cat litter forms solid clumps quickly. This allows for easy scooping, with less residue and odor.

Safe Ingredients

Made with natural ingredients, such as cornstarch and pea fiber, this cat litter is free from additives. Safe ingredients help ensure a safer potty experience for your feline companions.

Great litter but...

The only problem I have with it is the tracking. Little pieces of it turn up all over my house and lots around the littler box.

I have 7 rescue cats and was anxious to try this litter. I really like the convenience of the packaging, it’s vacuum sealed, which makes for easy storage. Two of my cats were very curious and couldn’t wait to try it out. Three more of my cats eventually tried it and acted like nothing changed. The last two didn’t want anything to do with it. When scooping it up, it becomes a little difficult since the litter is shaped like small pieces of spaghetti noodles, it scoops up a lot of litter. A scoop with wider slots would be perfect for this. Overall, I do recommend this. It has great odor control and it very lightweight.

My 15+ year old kitty has been having issues urinating outside of his litter box. This is new for him and his urine smells strong, so I was suspecting a urinary infection possibly. While waiting for his appointment I wanted to gather as much information as possible and came across PETKIT Flushable Occult Blood Test Unscented Clumping Tofu Cat Litter. The litter arrives with 4 small bags. I found that using just 1 bag was plenty enough for my cat. Some may like the litter a little deeper but one bag is plenty for what I'm trying to accomplish. I wasn't sure my cat would take to it being that it's a different texture than he's used to but he was completely fine using the pellets. I liked that I didn't notice any odor or dust at all. The litter comes with a card to interpret the test results once your cat urinates. No matter how hard I looked I was never able to see a difference in the litter. The only thing I can think it that my cats urine is normal and that's why I wasn't seeing a change. I did in fact get my cat to the vet, and he doesn't have an infection. All in all I like the concept of this litter and will keep it on hand for if any of the other cats may have issues that I need to know about.

I have 2 female and 1 male senior cat, they all had no issues with using the litter. I love the way this litter is packaged, very compact and portable. It also smells AMAZING! It’s very light weight and clumps very well. As a litter it is great! However, it did not do what it was intended to for me. Based off of the sheet I received with the litter, it is supposed to turn a shade of blue based on the urine results. With all three of my cats, it did not change any color and stayed clear, instead of a pale blue.

Unlike some other users, our cat didn't have a problem using the litterbox with this litter in it. However, it tended to be very messy, tracking all over the floors. I tried to flush it once, but it backed up the toilet, so I didn't try to get. I had a hard time scooping it without getting a lot of excess, unused litter in the scoop - because it wouldn't shake out through the cracks in the scoop. I never noticed any color change really. It did clump fairly well with the urine and seemed to help dry out the poop, so it was easy to scoop up. It just wouldn't work for our family. Looking forward to going back to our old litter next week that will be a lot less messy.

I have 5 cats and 6 litter boxes. I transitioned the PetKit automatic box to this litter first and then a second scoop box two weeks later, but only 3 of them would use the new litter after one month. It did a decent job at trapping odor, but the clumps tended to break apart during the automatic box's cleaning cycle which allowed not all the dirty litter to be filtered out. Scooping directly is better, but it still doesn't have the strongest clumping effect and some would still break apart. As for the blood test, I have a kitty who has a history of urinary issues, but thankfully during the use of this litter hasn't had any issues so I can't attest to how well it works. I will update if I notice a change or if he gets sick. Overall, I think it behaves like an average more natural based litter. Almost all the ones I've tried struggle with clumping or the cat's don't like it. It's hard to compare to regular old TidyCat clumping litter but I'd love to be able to transition my cats to something healthier.

I have two male cats and one has kidney issues. I wanted to find a way of keeping tabs on their urinary tract health and this product checked all the boxes. The instructions are easy to understand. My concern was the boys not wanting to use the new litter because it is so different from their tidycats but they used within the first hour of me putting it out. Thankfully, everyone is healthy!

Good, but not quite there

I liked the packaging of it and how little it tracked throughout the house as compared to regular litter. It did clump together and stick to the bottom of our litter box, which wasn’t a big fan and needed to be emptied out sooner than other litter. Also, our cat kept thinking the few tracked pieces were a treat and kept tying to eat them, but he’s a ginger so he’s known to be little weird.
