This product comes with two litter sifters: One ideal for larger litter particles like tofu and mixed litter, and one compatible for finer particles like bentonite and mineral/clay litter. Both work well with most clumping cat litter, but it is advised against using litter longer than 12 millimeters (0.5 inches).

Definitely a learning curve

It took two months for my cats to get totally onboard with this self cleaning litter box. My recommendation is to initially leave it unplugged then manually activate

It took two months for my cats to get totally onboard with this self cleaning litter box. My recommendation is to initially leave it unplugged then manually activate the cleaning, via the app, as you are in the presence of the litter box so you can assure your cats that everything is alright. Once they are not so alarmed by its movement then leave it plugged in. If you do not initially see the 'Clean Now' feature on the app it's because you are not totally synced your litter box with the app.

This unit was well reviewed, so I bought it, but the longer I own it the less use it gets. I think it needs a larger opening and a bigger receptable for used litter.

It’s quiet and relatively easy to clean.

It took my male cat a couple days to get used to it but my girl started using it right away. I love not having to clean the cat box every day!

There are a lot of great things about this litter box. Some of the features I love are the sensors that record your cat's weight or identify which of your cats is

There are a lot of great things about this litter box. Some of the features I love are the sensors that record your cat's weight or identify which of your cats is using the litter box based on their weight. I like that it alerts me when the litter box is in use and how much time it is in use. I like the way you can raise the opening to the top for filling and I love the deodorizer function. Some of the negatives I found were that it was a little complicated to set up and learn. I felt that for a first time automatic litter box user it was a little complicated. It also takes up a lot of room, this is not specific to this model, just something to keep in mind if you are in the market for an automatic litter box.

I received the Petkit Puramax 2 self cleaning litter box, I will have to say it was super easy to set up. I love the app capability to use on the litterbox. It took over a week for my cat to use it. But once he did he has had no problems. I just cannot clean it when he is around because it scares him. I ordered the Petkit litter and love it so much more than regular cat litter. There is no smell to this litterbox either. I would definitely recommend this litterbox to any and all cat owners.

Good news - the set up was super easy. Every moment after that has been a disaster. When it cleans the liter it takes ALL the liter - not just the clumps. So you are emptying the liter box almost every day. There's liter everywhere from the cats getting out. I did get heavy clumping liter. I have even tried the more expensive petkit liter - same result. So its like just changing your liter every day on your own.

It is quiet and I have not had a mess from it being used. I am very pleased and so happy to have it. The size is on the smaller size but big enough for them to use it.
