Love this feeder

Love that even without subscription it will send you photos of when it sees your pet and also before and after of their food bowl after they eat. This is great

Love that even without subscription it will send you photos of when it sees your pet and also before and after of their food bowl after they eat. This is great when you are away! Plus battery backup and works when wifi is out was essential. It's nice it has night vision too. I wish it had a see through lid so you can easily see food levels but it does give you an alert

Coated with Teflon

When I unpacked the feeder, I noticed that the stainless steel bowl was coated with something. I had a feeling it was non-stick coating and immediately got pretty

When I unpacked the feeder, I noticed that the stainless steel bowl was coated with something. I had a feeling it was non-stick coating and immediately got pretty unhappy. I called PETKIT and they confirmed that the coating was Teflon aka polytetrafluoroethylene. It’s a forever chemical if there is a scratch on the bowl or with overuse, it will be ingested with food. It’s linked to cancer, weakened immune, poor liver function, etc. There is absolutely no reason to coat stainless steel cat bowl with Teflon! I immediately contacted Chewy and shipped the feeder back! Please consider a different feeder for your little ones. Shame on PETKIT!

I have this for two small dogs. It is great to be able to set the time food is dispensed. It’s a huge time saver when you’re always late. Getting the alerts for when the doggies are eating and the picture to see which doggie is eating is also a huge plus. The only thing I struggled with was connecting it to my house wifi. It finally connected but it had to be close to the router. I love this product!!!
