Received this toy with high hopes that our new french bulldog who is 16 months old and 19 lbs., would have a toy he could NOT destroy. The PetKORE Flo Tek Tough Tug Dog Toy is made of highly durable fabric pulls, is brightly colored and has an added bounciness when tossing it across the floor to our pups. Unfortunately, our little guy is a toy destroyer and we have not found anything yet, that he hasn't been able to completely disable. We/he did enjoy a full 10 days before he completely chewed the ends of the pulls off, was then able to pull the pulls out and viola...he ran like the wind with the rubber ball part that remained. The good thing is...he has not been able to tear/rip/destroy the ball!

This toy is a hard rubber ball with grooves to make it easier for the dog to hold onto. There’s a nylon strap through the center with knots on both ends. I tested this out as a fetch toy with my Standard Poodle, Miss Sassy. She really enjoyed fetching this and chasing it around as it bounced. Sometimes she would grab the ball, other times the strap. It was also easy for me to grab the strap and toss it. I wasn’t able to test this as a tug toy as my dog doesn’t play tug. However, I feel it would be a fun tug toy. In my opinion this is an interactive toy as my dog would chew the strap to pieces if she was left alone with it. Overall, this is a fun fetch toy.
Durable but Unappealing

I recently tried the dog tug-of-war toy for my dog, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out. The toy had an unusual shape that didn’t seem to capture my dog's attention. Despite my attempts to encourage him to play, he showed zero interest in fetching or tugging with it. I suspect the rubber smell of the ball might have been off-putting to him, as he usually enjoys toys, but just couldn’t connect with this one. On the plus side, the toy seems like it would be durable and could withstand some tough playtime. However, the lack of engagement from my dog was a bit of a letdown, and it’s clear he didn’t recognize it as a toy. It may work for other dogs, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a hit with mine.

Okay, hear me out - putting a rope on a ball doesn't seem like a huge enhancement. But it is. Not only can I get a good bit of distance chucking this toy thanks to the rope, but Siggi had an easier time digging it out of deep snow. The ball is surprisingly solid. The weight makes it fly further while also being able to stand up to being chewed, chomped, and chucked against every surface possible. We put this toy through its paces, and it stood up against both fetch and tug-of-war. The bright colors made it stand out, which was very much appreciated when playing "reverse fetch" and having to find it in the snow. Definitely glad we've added this to our toy box!

My smallest dog LOVES to play tug. We go through so many stuffed animals because they get ripped while we play. With this toy, the rope part is strong & doesn't disintegrate into a million strings like cotton ropes. It's also a great fetch toy. The best part? It's dishwasher safe and cleans up so well. No more yucky dog smell! I'll def be getting this in other sizes.
Wasn't a huge hit

Pet Kore FloTek Tug Fetch & Play toy wasn't a favorite of my dog. She loves playing ferch and tug with me, but i couldn't get her interested in this toy no matter what i did. The ball is very well made of real rubber and breathing grooves. It has cute vibrant colors. It's made in the USA. You can wash it in the dishwasher; top rack. It bounces perfectly. I feel like its made to last a very long time. I'll keep working with her. I love it and feel like she should, too.
Different and fun ball toy!

Our standard poodle is LOVING this PetKore FloTek Tough Tug Dog Toy! She is ball obsessed, so I was excited to give this toy a try. I was nervous she may not take to it because of the tug straps, but she ended up loving it! The straps have held up well to her pulling on them. I like that I can throw the ball for her and not have to hold the slimy ball itself. The rubber that the ball is made out of is durable and hasn't shown any teeth marks. We're also having fun using this as a tug toy, which is different than her usual way to play with a ball. Overall, we're super happy with this and highly suggest it to other ball loving dogs!

My golden loves this toy. Upon unboxing, I could tell that this toy is meant to last. It is both sturdy and made with quality materials. I like that the ball is tough for my golden to chew on. He immediately went after it when I threw it in the yard. He is not ready to share it yet, haha. I would recommend this toy for large breed dogs.

My corgi, Oliver, LOVES to fetch. He did not immediately chase after the PetKORE FloTek Tough Tug Dog Toy, but after some encouragement he finally determined it was an acceptable toy. It is not his favorite toy by far, and I’m a little worried about the thin blue strap, but at least he is willing to play with it and have some variety added to his toy bin.

Its also simple enough to not pose any health risk of getting his mouth stuck or cut. Its also eaily washable. So far weve been playing tug of wae and fetch in the house with it. And he just loves it!
