Better at distributing ads than food

Not consistent about food portions. About once a week I find it's dumped a huge portion overnight. App tries harder to sell you their services than actually control

My biggest request was to have a cat food dispenser that would work on command (thru the phone app) and was told it would; I specified that I needed to run it on

My biggest request was to have a cat food dispenser that would work on command (thru the phone app) and was told it would; I specified that I needed to run it on batteries and be able to control it even when I wasn't home. Since my ferals come CLOSE to a schedule, I wanted to watch thru my Ring camera to make sure they were present when food was dropped and didn't want raccoons scooping up the food - I was assured I could. Well ONLY scheduled feedings will drop when it is on batteries... so that assurAnce went out the window. We managed to run an extension cord and lashed the unit to a heavy table leg - the VERY FIRST NIGHT a raccoon pulled the top off of the unit and ate a good part of the kibble while my ferals watched their dinner disappear. If possible we hope to encase it in something... but I am very disappointed about the possible lack of demand freeding ... MY demand from the phone app.

Don't waste your money

As others have noted, it constantly blocks and the portions are very uneven. It connected to my wifi just fine when I first bought it, but now it frequently loses

As others have noted, it constantly blocks and the portions are very uneven. It connected to my wifi just fine when I first bought it, but now it frequently loses connection and may or (more likely) may not reconnect despite following instructions to a T. I've had it disconnected and have been feeding my cats manually for a few months now, so other than the camera the thing is useless. Avoid this unreliable and frustrating product.

Requires purchasing an annual subscription

This model cannot operate without WIFI and the buyer needs to purchase an additional subscription at the “discounted rate” of about $14/month. No thanks. We’re returning

Easily hackable by motivated cat

My cat is very food motivated and is quite smart. It took him just 1 night to get in to the autofeeder foodbank. From the moment we installed the feeder, he knew

My cat is very food motivated and is quite smart. It took him just 1 night to get in to the autofeeder foodbank. From the moment we installed the feeder, he knew exactly which point to start digging, and the "box fortress" we built around the feeder didn't stop him. We woke up to 2 over stuffed kitties :'( I've now taped up the whole bottom rim- will test again tonight. But now I'll have to go through a lot of trouble each time I clean this thing.. Gave 2 stars because it could work as intended for less motivated/lazy cats.
