Is this BPA free?

The fountain should be remained plugged in 24/7 to provide your pet with fresh water. Only unplug the fountain to clean.

Do you have to keep refilling water ?

This depends on how many pets you have that drink from the fountain. It's recommended to refill water every 3 to 4 days for one cat or dog.

is the charcoal filter really necessary when I use filtered water and my cat goes to any running water source to get a drink will it still keep the water cooled and run properly without the filter?

The charcoal filter is intended to keep your pet's water clean, preventing any debris or waste from cycling into the bowl and being consumed. However this fountain can be used without a filter.

I bought this to replace an older one where the plastic was starting to break down a little. I tried a stainless steel one in a different design, but my kitty strongly

I bought this to replace an older one where the plastic was starting to break down a little. I tried a stainless steel one in a different design, but my kitty strongly prefers this one even though I was trying not to get plastic. It's easy to use, very quiet, and pretty easy to clean. The filters are inexpensive also. It works great for cats that prefer licking the water off a surface rather than sipping from a spigot.

Since day 1, I filled it, plugged it in, no issues at all. Having cool flowing water for my girl has significantly increased her water intake. It makes a little gurgling noise that gets louder when the water level is low. But after I add water it makes very little noise. I would recommend this product. Only thing I would change is for Chewy to add a link to the filter for replacement.

Loud & Leaks oil

I've only had this for about 6 or 7 months and the entire time I've had it it has been loud or it has this weird oil in the water bowl where the cat is supposed

I've only had this for about 6 or 7 months and the entire time I've had it it has been loud or it has this weird oil in the water bowl where the cat is supposed to drink out of not happy. Also the water tank that comes with it is so small it doesn't even last a day or two.

My cat hated this dish. She would not drink from it. I think the plastic kept the water tepid. I thought she would love it, but it truly was not a great product

I have had one of these for years in my house and I replaced it with this one. We've had it for about a month or so. Today I realized it's been slowly leaking underneath the whole time. THIS IS A FOUNTAIN!!! How can it leak? I'm so mad about it right now. This is going to cost thousands, so much for saving money buying a new fountain on sale. Never again! Don't buy one.

I find this piece a headache. Every time you go to clean it re-assembling the item takes a solid 30-60 minutes before getting proper flow back. The top piece lifts

I find this piece a headache. Every time you go to clean it re-assembling the item takes a solid 30-60 minutes before getting proper flow back. The top piece lifts up a lot of the time under the water hindering how much water is able to escape out its top. If the flow is too low the water will get stale super fast and my picky kitty won’t drink hence the bowl will have to be cleaned out 3-4 times sooner than if the water would properly circulate
