The PetMate Mason Jar Pet Treat Container is inspired by the popular glass Mason Jars. If you already use Mason Jars in your kitchen, you can add this jar specifically for your pet treats! The Mason Treat Jars feature silver screw top plastic lids to keep food fresh, a light smoke-colored tint so you can see when treats need to be refilled, and an efficient square design. In addition, the smoke-colored bottle is made with PET, or Polyethylene terephthalate, which are recycled bottles that reuse the material out of which they are made in order to reduce the amount of waste going into landfills.

I bought this to store my cats’ dry food in. They rip into the bags the food comes in and can open containers with flaps. I bought this because the picture shows it as having a metal or plastic screw cap with no flap. However, the item I received has a flap in the lid that the cats will be able to open. Not going to bother returning because it was cheap, but now I have to look for something else to store their food in.
This was what we ordered. We ordered it because of the screw on cap. Our cat is very smart and knocks things down and bites at them to get what is inside. Anything with a sort of flap does not work. What we received was a screw on cap with a flap on it to enable pouring. The cat will knock this down and the flap, which extends beyond the circles of the cap, will easily open. We are not happy.
I ordered this item based off the picture matching our needs but what arrived is not the same as pictured :( The picture shows a tinted plastic container with a one piece lid however the item received, has a lid that flips opens on the top (picture attached).. which allows air in. Tinted plastic seems sturdy and well made but the lid just wont work for us. Disappointed.
I bought this based on the feedback that it would hold up to 9 pounds of cat food. I was a bit disappointed, then, that it did not hold the full contents of a 7 pound bag. That said, it seems like a sturdy container and I like the look of it. I'll just make it work with a bit of overflow.
I bought this to hold a 6-lb bag of cat food for a feral cat that has shown up and it's perfect. It is plastic which isn't my favorite thing but it's easy to access the food inside and can fit on your shelf upright or on its side. Now to get him trapped for a neuter and vacs.!
I have big hands, so the opening is a little snug.
Perfect size for my cabinet. Its squatty shape fits where I keep my cat food, and its lid keeps my cat out of it!
I ended up using these to separate my new puppies food from my older dogs food. Works great and looks so cute! Actually holds a lot! Whether treats or kibble.
This jar does it's job but doesn't feel airtight due to the lid being kind of faulty. It just won't close properly after a few uses.. may be better it was just a screw on lid and not with the flap because that's the issue..
Love this treat jar. It holds a ton of treats and I love the look of it. I love the lid as well. The pups see it and get excited. I'm planning on getting a 2nd for dental treats.
