I ordered the waterer for a cat because the chewy online description stated it was for cats and dogs except when I received the item it clearly stated on the label that it was for large breed dogs. The bowl is far too large for a cat. I guess I’m on the hunt for another!
really cheap not a good waterer
on Nov 16, 2020
This is so bad, it's plastic and already started stripping the threads. The water doesn't stay in it, it's horrible, useless junk now. I don't even know if I can return it but I'm going to try and get my money back.
Works great! My dog hates it!
on Sep 29, 2020
This product is great for the price! It works great! However, one thing to consider before buying this is how your animal will react to it. We discovered that our dog got scared of the bubbling that occurs to fill it. He was trying to nudge open toilet bowls and was dehydrated. Luckily we noticed these signs and switched him back to a regular bowl before he got worse.
Not for cats
on Nov 4, 2020
Chewy has this item listed as being for cats and dogs. A cat would drown in this it's so big!!! This water bowl is meant for a medium or large sized DOG. Seriously Chewy?! Now I need to try and return this. Yay me.
Not Good for Cats
on Oct 20, 2020
It was a pretty good filter, the water was always clean, but my kitten never even drank from it ONCE! I think it would be better for dogs because it holds a lot of water and is harder for a tiny kitten to reach. I would recommend a water fountain if you have a cat.
Doesn’t refill well
on Nov 16, 2020
Plus-it’s seamless. However, it does not refill very well. It puts maybe 1/4 inch water in the bowl then stops refilling. I have to add water so my cat has water to drink.
Cats are picky!
on Sep 11, 2020
I bought this bowl for my two cats (and sometimes the dog) to use as their upstairs water source. I got the middle size in grey. It looks good, it’s easy to handle, seems like it will be easy to clean, and of course I don’t have to be constantly filling it. Just be aware that cats can be picky about their bowls. One cat loves it; other is terrified of it! But it’s a nice bowl at a reasonable price (I got it on sale), so give it a try.
Just What I Wanted
on Oct 13, 2020
Saves time by holding a good amount of water and keeping it clean (in regular bowls, there's dust or - if outside - leaves). I like that there's not a ton of water in the bowl itself too. Just a small amount at a time.
A Swell New Waterer
on Sep 22, 2020
Three cheers for our new dog waterer! Our old was fine but too large (3gal.) and and too heavy for someone with back problems. At 1.5 gallons rhis one is much easier to handle. In addition to being practical it is also well made, very
attractive, and affordible.
A real leaker
on Sep 19, 2020
This thing leaked all over my floor. It appears to have had a leak in the tray. They tried to plug the leak with a dab of hot plastic. Well It failed. Must have been a bad form that they are not willing to correct. Chewy needs to talk with the supplier.
