Large enough for him to drink out of and small enough for me to carry one everywhere. Found the larger pet bowls are too big to carry and not necessary. Either way there will be water spilled when they drink.

However, trouble came when she decided that instead of using it for only its intended purpose, she would play with it a little. I had to throw this away because she easily tore through it and it became unusable. I don't know if the breaks were due to its durability or due to her.
