I don't have a place to set up a trolley system. Would this chain also work to wrap around a tree instead?

This dog trolley is intended to contain your dog between two points up to 50 feet apart.

Product description says "Use with a tie-out to provide your dog a safe environment to move around"...what is a tie-out?

A tie-out is a cable that is used to tie dogs in a yard so they don't run away. For this product, a tie-out cable would be attached to the trolley.

How long is the leash that attaches to the 50 ft top cable?

This item is only the trolley system and you will need a tie out to attach your pup to the trolley system.

Didn't even last a full day

I'm not sure how to rate chewy because this was my first order and it didn't even make it one day installed. To be honest if this item is indicative of quality level

This arrived with the parts & pieces separated from their packaging inside the bigger shipment box so we were a little worried from the start but it installed fine

This arrived with the parts & pieces separated from their packaging inside the bigger shipment box so we were a little worried from the start but it installed fine and looks like it will do the job ok. We’ve had dog runs in the past and none are perfect in our experience. The trolley piece itself has a tendency to become brittle and break over time as it gets yanked off the line & needs to be re-centered & placed back on top from time to time. This one doesn’t look like it will be different but it doesn’t look like it is any worse than any others and is therefore a better value than some of the more expensive ones. There are ones with heavier gauge cables out there as well but I live in a cold climate and they tend to become just as brittle and break nearly as easily as the ones in this weight class and again- cost enough more that this one seems to be the better value. If it breaks earlier than expected after we’ve had some time to use it, we will update. But honestly, it seems like a great buy.

a lifesaver if you don’t have a fence!

Got this for my growing 7mo old,75lb GSD so we can play fetch (I don’t have a fence yet) and he loves it. Easy to assemble, just wished it came with a total of 4

Got this for my growing 7mo old,75lb GSD so we can play fetch (I don’t have a fence yet) and he loves it. Easy to assemble, just wished it came with a total of 4 clamps instead of 2, just for my piece of mind with a large dog. Nice sturdy cable! Gives me a peace of mind knowing I can be out in the yard and not having to watch him every second. We are still working on off leash training and sometimes he darts off. But not anymore! Took about 10 mins to put together on my clothes line ends.

x tra large cable to tie up large dog, works great

No stake for ground! Only good if used betw 2 trees

The best thing about this product is how durable it is. However, it is made for having two trees for each end. There is only one clip to use and there’s no stake

The best thing about this product is how durable it is. However, it is made for having two trees for each end. There is only one clip to use and there’s no stake for the ground. I had to jerryrig this and I hope it works! I’m not sure I would call it a tie out, but it’s definitely a trolley.

Broke within a week

I have a 125lb puppy that is slightly active. After reading through the reviews, checking the weight capacity, and hooking it up as directed; the cable still broke

I have a 125lb puppy that is slightly active. After reading through the reviews, checking the weight capacity, and hooking it up as directed; the cable still broke. The line from the harness to tie out was intact, the trolley cable itself is the thing that snapped. This is the 5th brand that we have tried. I had high hopes for it.

Rottweiler leash

So I bought this leash hoping and believing that it was going to last with my Rottweiler but I attached it to my tree and as soon as he tugged on it to go inside

So I bought this leash hoping and believing that it was going to last with my Rottweiler but I attached it to my tree and as soon as he tugged on it to go inside the house and it snapped so I think it’s a really good leash but I really don’t recommend it for big rough dogs
