Can this Petmedics thermometer be used for cats?

This could work for cats but it's only accurate if it's on a part of a dog or cat body that has very little hair (belly or ears). If you take a temp on part of the dog or cat's body with hair, the hair is going to block the sensor and it wont take the right temperature reading.

I love this thermometer... My dog wont let me near him with a rectal thermometer so i had to go with this and it is super easy to use and easy to read... It will show up green yellow or red depending on the temp so you know if the temperature is normal or not. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Does not read accurate

I bought this to read my dogs temp to know when going into labor. I have 3 greyhounds. It read a different reading each time. I went to rite aid and got a Kinsa

I bought this to read my dogs temp to know when going into labor. I have 3 greyhounds. It read a different reading each time. I went to rite aid and got a Kinsa that is for humans but is a flex tip so can be used rectal and actually reads correct temp.
