Very Nice Jackets
I bought each of my 3 Vizslas these coats. I love the high neck coverage and the wrap around chest closure. The material is such that burrs and small twigs don't stick. And, it keeps my furr-kids dry. The coats did run large, I ended-up reordering smaller sizes but Chewy asked me to donate the unneeded larger coats to a shelter, which is what I did. Bravo Chewy!
Love This Jacket!
I've been looking for a jacket that could cover my dogs underbelly, and this is it!! He is relatively low to the ground so walking him in poorer conditions (melting snow, road salt, etc.) would cause his underbelly to be so dirty that he would require a bath. This jacket has made us both like walks again! It's waterproof and the belly strap keeps the jacket snuggly in place. He hasn't shivered in 18-20 degree weather so I assume it's keeping him warm enough. It's so quick and easy to put on too! I bought a medium for my 20lb terrier mix and it fits great! As per other reviews, we didn't need the leg straps so we just don't use them.
Love This Dog Coat!
Very well made, great fit with the wrap around belt. My girl, Sasha, has narrow hips. Most coats were too big or too short. This one has side and chest coverage. It also dips below her
Perfect Fit
I love this jacket and so does my fur baby. He is a 13 inch Beagle and the size medium fits him perfectly. The jacket is well made and easy to put on. It happened to be raining when it arrived so we had to test it to see if it was truly waterproof; it is. The material and seams are very sturdy and I love the Velcro that is on top of the jacket instead of just on the side like our previous jacket. The only thing I don’t care for is the little hole on top to allow a leash to be used through the jacket. It is easier to just hook up the leash the way you would if you dog is not wearing a jacket. Maybe if the hole was bigger it would be easier to attach. I still love the jacket even though the leash hole isn’t easy to use.
Love my jacket
I love being outside, but my fur isn't thick enough for these cold temperatures we've been having (single digits and wind chills at 0*) so my mom and dad ordered me this jacket. Now? I DON'T go outside unless I've got my Juneau dog jacket on! Thank you PetRageous and mom and dad for this wonderful birthday gift (I turned 1 year old!).
Warm and windproof
This is a good coat for bitter cold, windy days! I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the sizing. In order to get a coat that was long enough to completely cover my dog's hindquarters, I had to order a size larger, so I needed to make some alterations and add extra velcro to the straps to make it fit snugly around his torso. Even so, this coat is a good deal!
Great coat for a long hair dog
The coat is well made and was easy to put on a wiggly dog. Pixie’s long hair makes it harder to put on some coats and the design of this coat gives weight variance freedom Will try to get another coat next year
Nice, well made great 4 real winter. Will big dogs & even dogs w/ small girths
This is a great coat - The best feature is the way it wraps around the dog. It is easy to place the neck hole over the dog's head then guide the chest piece under the dog and bring the straps over the back. This style allows it to be used for a dog of almost any girth. We have another dog who is very tall, long and with a very small chest. Almost no coats fit him, but were able to buy one of this style many years ago and love it. When I saw this coat on Chewy I had to get it for our other dog. I think it is the same manufacturer because it has the same "name tag" stitched inside for marking the dogs name. I am thrilled to be able to find the same style. Another great feature is that the part of the coat that wraps under the chest provides much more cold weather protection than a coat that only has a belly strap. I also think it helps limit the amount of undercarriage cleaning required in messy weather.
Cute Jacket, a little small
This is a very well built jacket. The quality is amazing. The Velcro is strong. My only issue is that it doesn’t extend all the way to the tail. It’s not a big deal. Everyone had told me I should’ve gotten a bigger size, but I’m scared that’ll be too big.
Great quality, poor sizing
The material is great, very well made and super sturdy. Wanted to love it so bad but the sizing is off. I bought a large for my 51lbs pup and it was really big in the girth (she is on the tightest part of the velcro wrap) but not long enough for her legs to fit in the straps. I wouldn't care so much but bc the material is slightly rigid any wind lifts it up the back or it pops up when she bends forward. I order large bc i was worried about the length and it still wasn't long enough, but the x large there would be no velcro wrap would not work.
