This would be a great starter or quarantine coop for someone! It comes complete with two nesting boxes, a bedding tray that slides in and out. The price point I feel is fair for the quality. We’re going to use this for a chicken of ours that has been getting aggressive with the rest of the flock, and our young chicks when their ready to venture to an outdoor coop. One of the issues we ran into was quality on some of the hardware it came with. I would definitely recommend this for someone wanting to start raising chickens without breaking the bank!

Cute little coop for small chickens

Very sturdy, and built well. Looks very nice put together, but it’s definitely small. I would not use for full size hens, but it would be great for bantam chickens

Solid coop but not temporary

This is exactly what you’d think it would be. A temporary chicken coop. This is not long term or for winter weather. Would need to be wrapped for wind proof in snowy

A cute little coop perfect for small poultry!

I am going to start this by clarifying I absolutely struggle with instructions putting things together and I am also disabled, so that is an even bigger, added struggle. This took me about an hour and a half *alone* to put together. The instructions says two people and should be around thirty minutes. I can see how a second person would have helped greatly, but I did not have a second person, so it is what it is. Initial complaints: some of the pieces are not marked clearly and you have to search them really well to find what number they actually are. The same with the screws - if the little piece of paper inside got folded up, you'll have to open each bag to figure out which is which. I also think a lot of the pre-drilled holes need to be highlighted somehow, especially on the roof tiles, as they are *rough* to find. However, this IS doable alone. Once you start to get the hang of it, it's rather smooth. It's not difficult to put together - just tedious, especially when a lot of the time is spent finding what piece is which and what screw is which and finding the predrilled hole. An electric screwdriver is an absolute must because you will get tired very quickly without it (I did have one). None of the screws are at weird angles where you cannot use one - every single screw on this project I did with my electric screwdriver. The instructions we well put together and explains what you need to do well, as well as which pieces you are using each step. There is no guess work involved at all, no skipped instructions, etc. It goes in a logical pattern which makes it easy to work with. It is honestly a great outdoor activity to do on a nice autumn day. I enjoyed sitting outside to put it together. The coop itself is small; I do not see it being big enough for standard chicken breeds, but I do think bantams and quail or similar breeds would do well. It even has a pull out cleaning tray which I didn't expect but love, and it's easy to remove as well from outside the coop, so win. The nesting boxes are decent sized. The wire is proper chicken wire - not the flimsy stuff, but the stronger stuff. It does not have a bottom in the run so I do think that could be an issue with predators, especially since it is not very heavy. I could see a raccoon easily being able to push it up to get under it, and it being no problem for a bear or dog at all. It also has the warning to not put it in the rain, which I do not think the wood is fully treated, so I understand, but that makes it limited options for location. I do think the clear, plexi-glass like material on the run side is likely to get very, very hot in the sun, so be careful there. But I think this put on a solid base with a roof, like a carport, would give people the chance to own some fun, smaller poultry and keep them safe when they're not allowed to roam. I also think it would be easy to modify this, add wheels, and roll it to different locations in the yard during the day time for the chickens to have new areas to explore. Overall, for a starter coop, I find it a good investment if you have a good location to put it and are interested in smaller breeds of birds. I am getting some bantams that will absolutely love this and I'm excited for that and them to enjoy their new home!

Not a bad little coop

It was a challenge to put togeter alone. It's a nice little coop for 2 chickens. The girls seem to be enjoying it. I belive it will last quite a while too.
