Cute house with some nice features but sadly my outdoor cat (who was a stray) won't go in it. She's a small cat and she can barely fit through the doorways. I think they spook her. Had a couple little minor defects upon delivery that doesn't affect use - one of the frame pieces was cracked and the bottom floor does have a little bit of a gap.

The first thing you will notice upon opening the box for this cat house is a strong cedar smell. I would definitely recommend a having a drill on hand to assemble
The first thing you will notice upon opening the box for this cat house is a strong cedar smell. I would definitely recommend a having a drill on hand to assemble this. It took me just over an hour to assemble the cat house by myself using a drill. There are some well thought out features on the cat house that make it really nice. The roof folds back and has a locking mechanism to hold it open. I kept it open for a while for my cats to get used to going in and out. There is also a spot with a removable piece between the first and second floors to make it so that cats can go up and down levels without going outside of the house. The bottom floor is removable for cleaning and there is a latch to hold it in place. The doorways are kind of small and may be a tight squeeze for large cats.

This would work best for medium sized cats or smaller but my 14lb boy (as pictured) was still able to use it. I may end up using this in my garage for a play area for my cats but it definitely feels sturdy enough to stay outdoors. My only concern with the product were that there were a few damaged pieces of wood but they didnt significantly impact building. There is a smell when it comes out of the package but it smells mostly like cedar (which i think smells nice) and like the roof shingles. Overall i am very happy to have this for my kitties! (And potentially for my indoor rabbits!)

We’re getting into the fall and winter months and we have 3 to 4 cats that were initially born in our backyard who we’ve had fixed and they live in the neighborhood. They’ve been sleeping in homemade cat houses that we filled with straw in the winter so when we saw this, we had to get it. It’s super cute and multiple cats can be in it You definitely need more than one person to put it together, but excited to see how it holds up outside in the elements.

This will be a warm safe place for them to sleep this winter. Very easy to assemble. Cats love the perches on the side and the front porch where they can eat, they also love laying on the roof.

I bought this cat house as the reviews seemed favorable. I’m VERY disappointed. First of all, the smell is highly toxic and strong. We had to wear masks as we started to put it together. We left it in the garage for several days, hoping the smell would dissipate. NOT! The majority of the parts were not numbered, and the bottom floor board is too small and there is a large gap. How do I fix the gap? I’m not a carpenter. And do I have to pain a non toxic sealant on all the boards on the inside to get rid of the atrocious odor? What???
