Petscosset Outdoor Wooden Dog House, 33.8 x 22 x 25-in

Nice looking dog house. It was very well packed. I was amazed that the roof appeared to be some sort of roofing material. I was going to put it together inside but I needed to air it out due to the stain on the real wood. It is a nice size and if needed my 3 smaller dogs could go in at once. I love that it is off the ground which protects the bottom from rain water. I like that you can lift the top and remove the bottom for easy cleaning. I am thinking that in the summer I could put a wedge under the roof to provide some circulation. I am a little concerned that the wood is a bit brittle and silvers easily. It arrived with a piece already silvered. The roof is held up by two pieces of wood that just tilt in place with 2 smaller pieces of wood that are suppose to block it but I would not trust it. There are no metal safety latches to prevent it from being bumped and falling while removing the bottom. Also, the plastic weather barrier could be thicker. It is a bit thin and would work better with a thicker one. It a bit cold right now so this plastic has not straightened out. Overall a good value but I will pick up some safety latches to replace the wood sticks.BTW - I clicked through the pictures of the house on Chewy’s website where I found a video of how to put it together!!!! It was most helpful.
