This window box fits perfectly over our old-style windows, and it leaves a little gap room for installing storm windows in the winter when it's too cold for the kittens! Our 17 and 5 year old both decided to give this a try, and the spacious area and roomy design were welcoming for them. The assembly is where it lost stars, as well as with the mounting brackets. The material for the lower legs was a bit flimsy and the main box had parts of it that started to splinter when going together. Overall, it took me by myself around an hour to get it all together, but it might not be the right fit or someone who has trouble with directions and doesn't have the right tools - a power drill is a must! Overall, it's a good quality for the price, but I'd also recommend treating the wood or else it won't likely last long in places that have wide temperature swings or see a lot of precipitation.

Nice little catio . The cats enjoy it and I’m overall happy with the purchase . The only thing is if you don’t have a flat surface to mount on (I have siding ) there

Overall nice purchase and the cats are happy !

Two of my cats have discovered it and went right out into it. I do believe this is going to be fantastic in the warmer weather. It’s getting really chilly here on the northeast. I had to pull one of the cats inside because we are getting bitter winds this week but it’s really going to be a huge hit when it warms up! Wish we got one sooner.

Lots of pieces but it's well worth it. My cats have a free standing catio already so are accustomed to the concept. I use a screen door cat door to allow them access so I can close them out when the weather is bad. I love that this one is up off the ground so they are above and not easily accessible to outdoor cats or other critters like snakes. The only down side to this one is it had to be attached to the house. But it looks great. And they like it.

I would recommend having an electric screwdriver handy as there are a lot of long screws to install and it will save you a lot of time and effort. It is well designed and I'm sure our tuxedo cat will love it in the spring to watch the Colorado wildlife, but it will have to wait until then as the weather turned cold on us just as it arrived and we can't have the window open.

My cat that loves to escape out the window and chill on the roof loves it but it is a little difficult to put together. Would still recommend for cats that love
