Is there a photo of what it looks like inside?

Answer by ChewyDec 30, 2020
Please see photos below for a look at what the inside of the cat house looks like.

Does this have a floor between the two stories? Or just a shelf?

Answer by ChewyDec 30, 2020
This cat house comes with floor between the two stories with a hole between the upper and lower layers so cats can go up or down with ease.

How warm does this keep outdoor cats and is it insulated? What’s it insulated with? What temperatures could this be like for winter time?

Answer by ChewyJan 21, 2024
This outdoor cat house does not have insulation, but it features 12mm Finnish spruce panels, thicker than others to provide the best sturdiness to hold up in the elements. The raised floor protects against decay from rain & snow. The interior temperature is dependent on the temperature outdoors and will vary.

Ad said he was a house for more than one cat. Top level would have a hole to go to the bottom level. The hole in the top level takes up most of the space. My cats can barely walk around the hole. I don't think both of them can get in the top level at the same time. I had expected them to be able to sleep in the top and go to the bottom level to escape. Can't sleep in the top. They both could not lie down.

Kitty condo

The house was easy to put together and seems well made. So far the feral cats I feed don’t have a problem with it!

Cat house

Was smaller than expected. Felt the need to block the hole to the 2nd floor out of concern for cats falling to 1st floor plus added more space. Pricey.

Cat House

Didn't know it had a hole in the floor of the 2nd story section. Don't remember the pictures showing that, but I may be wrong.

Easy to put together, directions were pretty straight forward. The materials are pretty thin and feel cheap. Using the provided screw driver, a screw splintered some of the wood. Feels/seems to not sit straight once put together 100%. Does not include any insulation. Not sure how "weatherproofed" this wood is. Time will tell. But it is definitely not worth the money spent.

I've had this house for probably 4-5 years. It is outside in the elements and has held up well. About two years ago the roof started to leak, easy fix I put a piece of plywood on the top that was bigger and took care of the leak. The biggest issue is the way the top floor is made with a big "escape" hole in it which leaves very little floor room for a kitty to lay down on. My friendly feral cat loves this house, but time has come for it to be replaced. The landing pads have disintegrated and it now leans to one side. I was thinking about getting another one in red, like the current one, but it is out of stock. I saw another one like this that has a better floor situation, but it has wheels on it. This is a serious flaw, what outdoor cat is going to use it if it moves because of the wheels.

Good house

This is a good house. It insulates well and accommodates more than one cat. It's easy to assemble and move. Well done!

Nice House

More heavy duty than I expected. Easy to put together, sturdy, love that the top lifts. Love it.

Poor quality. Definitely not worth the money.

Didn’t pre drill some holes and the upper door opening did not come with a plastic door. Material is thin and most likely pine which will rot outside even thought

Shucks. I wanted this to be good. The price suggest it should be. But it ain’t. Thin wood, weird design. No insulation. It’s wafer thin. I’m considering adding insulation. That’s not why I wouldn’t order this. The instructions are so poor that you have to essentially put it together a couple of times. Don’t even bother with the non-instructions. Get your drill with Phillips bit or lose your hands putting this conundrum together. Grab a drink, your doing this for a minute. If you charge this much for wood and screws then label your pieces when the instructions don’t properly and clearly indicate what is what and who is who. I’ve already ripped up the box, pieces so I’m not returning but prepare to TRY and make usable. Will add photo after modifications. Dissatisfied.
