Easy build - satisfied
After mulling over the various versions available I went with this one and am not disappointed. No issues with the build; it took maybe 30+ minutes from cracking
After mulling over the various versions available I went with this one and am not disappointed. No issues with the build; it took maybe 30+ minutes from cracking the box, laying it all out, and then assembly. No issues with any of the wood cracking, etc. when pieces were screwed together. IF you have a larger cat, they will not be able to use the "escape hatch." I propped the hatch open with a zip strip for air flow. Also, after watching my larger cat decide he could not fit through the main entry/exit, I cut it larger and used left over corner molding to reframe the sides and bottom after I sanded my jig saw cuts. My next project with this house is to raise the roof by 6 to 8 inches as a full grown, especially larger cat, cannot sit upright on the upper deck. It's big enough to lay, but not sit. Regardless, I am still good with this purchase and not disappointed and the modifications I've done and plan to do are simple enough.
Still holding up after many years outside.
Purchased this about 5 years ago. It's still looking great after many years outside in the Florida sun and even survived 2 brutal hurricanes. I have it on the side
Purchased this about 5 years ago. It's still looking great after many years outside in the Florida sun and even survived 2 brutal hurricanes. I have it on the side of the house. If the cats want to go outside, they have a place to hang. I have it set up so I can open a doggie door and they go out through the second opening. One cat loves to lay on the roof while the other likes the deck part.
Really Nice House!
It didn’t take much time for us to assemble - Pointers are to use power tools and look at the pictures on the product page as the instructions don’t clearly state
It didn’t take much time for us to assemble - Pointers are to use power tools and look at the pictures on the product page as the instructions don’t clearly state how things like the floor gets laid. It’s very solid and so cute!
I bought one similar with step stairs rather than a ramp
Both versions were available when I bought mine, and I decided steps rather than a ramp. Steps might not be available any more. Wasn't very difficult to put together
Both versions were available when I bought mine, and I decided steps rather than a ramp. Steps might not be available any more. Wasn't very difficult to put together. Two teenage boys did it. I put bedding inside the 'house' and a towel on the upper "porch" and my Cali took it over as HERS only. Later, after she passed, KiKi decided to live in the "house" part. Now there's Charlie and I expect to see him in it come cooler weather.
