Excellent high quality ramp. Note that it is close to 20 pounds but the weight is necessary to get the sturdiness. My dog is a retired agility dog so he is used to a ramp. You will have to train your dog to walk on a ramp. The ramp is a little steep for the back of an SUV . But my Toyota highlander bumper has a lip along with a hitch step where I can place the ramp. My dog is only 40 pounds. I would not use the bumper lip for a heavier dog.

My husband and kid kept walking on the old ramp petstep ramp and it finally broke like I warned them I would. The replacement ramp just isn’t the same. I can’t quite figure out what has changed or if I got a bad one, but it bounces terribly as my 14 1/2 yr old, 40lb cardigan walks down it and seems to have more give on the right side. He has IVDD, so he is already wobbly at times and although he loved the old ramp, he doesn’t feel secure on this one. The new one seems to have a lot more give where it folds. I’m really bummed because I’m a vet tech and have suggested this ramp to everyone at the clinic because of how stable and tough the old ramp was and now I’m disappointed that it can’t handle a 40lb dog.

A suitable solution

Doesn’t work for my “ giant “ puppies who I bought it for. Not wide enough for goofy 100 pound puppies to place their feet and walk up it. Might be ok for an adult

My dog likes it very much.

The flooring is perfect and she doesn't slip.. Only issue is I have a bad back and I am not sure I can lift it.. I will try again after my back heals

My 96 lb. Lab mix was diagnosed with Vestibular Disease-makes her dizzy; unstable; and a head tilt that makes her coordination unsteady. Read the reviews and determined that I could use this to help her climb up and down stairs; get her into a car and RV. It arrived in perfect condition. It is easy to fold and unfold and it is easy for me to carry and load. I laid it out flat and let her get used to it and then used it on a small flight of stairs. It has a textured surface so it isn't slick and she can't slide on it at all. She took to it like a champ and although I haven't used it yet to get her into a car or RV, I have NO doubt that this is what I need to help her navigate and help her get around as best as she can with her newly diagnosed condition.

Hope it works when my old dog needs to go to the vet

Hope it works when my old dog needs to go to the vet. Folds up nice and fits in the trunk. Looks like it will do the job.

So far so good!

We have not yet moved the ramp from the living room, but looking forward to moving in that direction. I’m sure it’s going to be sturdy enough for my 75 pound older yellow lab. And it’ll be much easier for me to lift the ramp into the car then to lift the dog into the car.
