Does this measure ketones or just blood glucose?

I just set up the meter. After using it yesterday I used it again today to realize that the time setting is 15 minutes off from the correct time which was set during set up. Is the meter defective? What would cause this?

It is not pain free; the lancet device needed to be set on 6 for inner ear when instructions said 1-2. Doing a control required taking off the battery cover to find the button on the back. Finding the control values was on the strip package not the bottle. First time doing every 2 hour blood sugars was awful even for a nurse with 45 years experience doing it on people. My dog cried out each time, and because of the trouble with the lancet device, he got poked way too often. I couldn’t get enough of his blood even though it only required a little bit. I’m hoping that the second time around tomorrow goes a whole lot better.

Yes this product is highly rated and easy to use. incredibly uses just a very very tiny amount of blood in order to get results which are accurate within 15% as compared against readings at the vet and results very quickly! and there is exceptional support service available as well. I also like that the test strips are individually foil wrapped and so do not expire as quickly as others that come in a group as once the container is opened and exposed to atmosphere; therefore the expiration is only the overall expiration date printed on the foil! The vet tax at the veterinarian practice were also impressed!

Lancet doesn't Work and cost of extra strips

The Lancet has never worked for us which is a bummer. We just poke our cat without it and most times either poke ourselves or draw blood from both sides of his ear

The Lancet has never worked for us which is a bummer. We just poke our cat without it and most times either poke ourselves or draw blood from both sides of his ear. The reader itself seems fine BUT I am super bummed to see how expensive additional test strips are. It's my own fault for not looking first, just wasn't something that crossed my mind especially when this reader was so much less expensive than others. So for something to not even work correctly and then charge so much for a additional supplies is frustrating.

The lancing tool simply doesn’t work.

Not sure if the meter is good or bad - I never got that far. The lancing tool on its deepest setting didn’t even make a mark on my cats ear or my finger for that

The price of the test strips is really expensive.

It's a awesome blood glucose monitor but the test strips are very expensive. I'm not going to be able to afford to buy them. So now I have the meter and can't afford

It's a awesome blood glucose monitor but the test strips are very expensive. I'm not going to be able to afford to buy them. So now I have the meter and can't afford to use it. I should of checked the price of the test strips before I got the kit. But because the meter was not priced very high I just assumed the test strips would be a good price also. It is easy to use so that is a plus.
