My cat Belly is a 5 year old, 14lb black cat. She has a history of mowing her tummy fur and has separation anxiety. We got her a another cat friend but her new buddy got diagnoised with a terminal illness and died a month after adopting her. Belly was even more stressed out having a new cat, then no cat. She started walking around crying out even when everyone was home. We gradually put Belly on this as a food topper, mixing the powder in with her wet food. In the first few days we had her on 1/4 scoop (because if she noticed anything is different with her food she wont eat and she wouldnt drink it as a broth). After those few days she became a different cat, no more crying, and doesnt care at all about the new cats! Now she has half a scoop at dinner time. She started playing with her fluffy ball more and lets us rub her belly (Which she didnt allow before). I'm very happy with Belly's results and will continue use. I also have two, one year old sister, 7 lb torties I just adopted. We put our other new cats on this probiotic the same time as Belly but for different stress symptoms. These girls had surgery, starvation and relocation stress and had the poops something awful. They just got fixed at the rescue, halfway through a pregnancy and had complicated surgeries. They also were barely being fed before the rescue and were stressed out from moving. Now they are going potty great and are more comfortable living in a multi cat household. I will continue to give it as a topper to them aswell.
This broth not only calms my anxious pups but provides layers of nutritional support. I was quite surprised at the quality contents. I see there are other broth options from this company. Since my picky dog licked the bowl clean without lots of encouragement, and refused all previous broths, I will try other options from the Petz Kitchen. Fabulous!
