What is the grain size of this sand? Will it easily blow around the tank if I have high flow?

Answer by ChewyJun 01, 2020
Pisces USA Oolitic Aragonite Aquarium Sand is a very fine consistency (1-3 millimeters) thus, with a high flow, there is a high probability the material is too small/light to remain in place. The Ooilitic is geared more toward a calmer environment.

Great product, super clean

I found this aragonite to be a lot cleaner than Caribsea, as well as having better pH buffering. It is quite fine, but that's perfect for my tank. Also reading on

I found this aragonite to be a lot cleaner than Caribsea, as well as having better pH buffering. It is quite fine, but that's perfect for my tank. Also reading on the bag, this is the official aragonite from the bahamas - they have a lease with the government there, so I don't know where caribsea are getting theirs...
