Parakeet did not like it.
Great concept but the bird just looked at it and did not even interact. Back to buying the expensive toys.
Wind it through the cage bars
My birds (parakeets) love it. I wind it through the cage bars (over, under, over, under) near a perch and they love picking it apart while standing on the perch or clinging to the side of the cage.
So disappointed!
I have a parakeet who loves to destroy “stuff” so I had high hopes that this would keep her entertained for long periods of time. Didn’t happen! I cut a nice length piece and it has been hanging in her cage for over a month. I have moved it to different places when I clean her cage and she has yet to even try to touch it! I know she is fearful and suspicious of new things in her cage but this has gone well past the amount of time she usually takes to warm up to a new toy! Wish I knew someone who could use this because I don’t want to throw it away. :-(
