Our 60lb American Bulldog x Border Collie loved this and we finally thought we’d found something that could stand up to him but sadly it was not to be…. His brothers didn’t last so good either.
I have two Malinois and they are hard on toys , chewing through most within 15 minutes. This particular toy has been in tact in my home for 2 weeks now. I have even smeared a little peanut butter on it a few times for added attention getter, they love it either way, and chew happily.
My dog (lab/pit mix) loved this toy, however she was able to bite it into pieces.
My 9 year old 18lb Boston terrier/Italian greyhound mix loves this! He is missing a few teeth from before I adopted him. Been looking for durable chew toys that are softer. Things that are too tuff tend to pinch his exposed gums and scare him. Other toys fall apart in a few minutes. This, he can happily gnaw on! Some parts he has picked off but he calmed down some in his age. This probably would of been shredded in minutes a couple years back. Not the most durable, I can agree, and I wouldn't recommend leaving your dog unsupervised with it. But it works for us! Ripley is happily chewing away now on this while I type. Even if If it lasts a week, I'll be happy he enjoyed it so much!
My pup chewed on this for about 5 minutes and never went back to it. I gave it a three because although he didn't like it, it is well made
This has been one of the best chew toys we’ve gotten for our 2 growing, teething Boxer puppies. We started with the small size when they were 2 - 3 months old and now that they are 11 months old we’ve gone to the large size. It keeps them interested and appears to really help with their chewing needs while their teeth come in and set in their jaws. The “bite” on it has some give to it which they love.
This product did come with a chemical smell that was off putting to our dog at first. I had to really reassure her that it was okay to chew on. Once she got going she really liked this toy, but she was biting off the little nodules and eating them so we have to monitor her very closely while using.
My dog chewed this toy up in under a minute. I had to take it away from him right now. He was very excited when I brought it out, so the smell must be good for dogs. I thought it smelt strongly of like a plastic or some sort of chemical smell. I have an Aussie Doodle for reference, he is around 65 pounds.
I don't usually give one star reviews but I was super disappointed with this product. It not only did not smell like peanut butter but it smelled like some awful chemical/rubber. Both my dogs were completely uninterested and the cat was offended if it was anywhere near her. Two thumbs down!
This is his favorite toy, next to the pork sausage flavored one.
