I ordered this because I had good luck with another Playology toy (the rubber spider). Unfortunately, my cat just wasn't interested in this at all. The toy is a bit bigger and made of a somewhat harder material than I was expecting. I'm rating 2 stars because the toy seems to be made well, but it's just not for every cat.

If my cat doesn’t like this, I can tell you, I do. But of course, she does like it, too. Took her a few minutes to figure out it’s a toy for her but you know a cats curiosity usually gets the best of them. Once she checked it out and checked it over, it was play time after that. I don’t know if the catnip enticed her though, as the play time didn’t last all that long. But I can tease her with it and she’ll follow it around for a much longer time than if I let it hang for her. It is heavier than most of her toys, and the rubber seems good, although the string isn’t very long, it is flexible. This cat toy from Paws Playology should last a long time as long as I play with it, too.

I kinda figured my cats would love this toy. It's on a string and feathers. How could you go wrong? I was surprised that the top of the toy/caterpillar is a hard plastic. When my teen got it out and was dangling it in front of my boy it hit his body and clunked a little bit. He didn't seem to care one bit but I wasn't expecting the noise when it hit him. The top 5 segments are hard plastic. The rest of the body is silicone with the tail being feathers. Feathers seem secure which is normally the first to go. Maybe with it being plastic and silicone it will last longer though. We've bought many soft tether toys that have not made it very long. I actually just picked it up to feel of it and my boy cat heard me messing with and came running to me if that tells you how much he likes it. In one of the photos of my black cat please note the pupils. :) I would not let younger kids play with your pet with this toy. It is on the heavier side and if slinging the toy for the cat isn't more controlled you could knock things off tables.
