Irresistible

They love this stupid thing. More than any other toy. Go crazy for the spider. I keep buying them because they keep getting destroyed. I dont know what it is.

As others said - USE WITH CAUTION

As with another review I’ve seen, my cat has chewed about 1/4th of its length into bite-sized pieces and I am now at the emergency vet with a $1000 bill - with X-rays

As with another review I’ve seen, my cat has chewed about 1/4th of its length into bite-sized pieces and I am now at the emergency vet with a $1000 bill - with X-rays and sedation alone. It’s a cute toy, my kitty did mess around with it sometimes, but I cannot in good conscience recommend it at all.

The catnip

I thought it was interesting but my cats didn't care for it.

Both of my cats were immediately drawn to this toy. My boy spent @ 10” picking it up and tossing it around. I would agree that it mimics real prey and does support active play. My one area of concern is that they will chew off the little legs. I would not want them to accidentally swallow a piece of this rubber. I mention this as a concern as I have purchased a different small rubber insect toy from this same company whose little limbs appeared to snap off with ease. That being said the centipedes legs appear to be thicker than the other toy so perhaps this will not be problematic

See Precautions - our Maine Coon chewed this into bite sized pieces & swallowed

After having this toy for a while our 1 year old Maine Coon decided this was chewable. There are precautions on the package warning of this. He chewed and swallowed

After having this toy for a while our 1 year old Maine Coon decided this was chewable. There are precautions on the package warning of this. He chewed and swallowed about 50% of the toy when I saw what was going on. The following day he threw up a hairball with a bunch of rubber chunks. He then started acting lethargic and not having an interest in food. Out of an abundance of caution we took him to the emergency Vet. This "Toy cost us over 8 hrs in the emergency vet and over $1000.00. If you love your cats don't buy it / don't risk it / this toy is a danger and trust me it's not worth the risk.

Use with owner engagement//supervision

Used it with my 2 cats. Cat#1 had no interest. Cat # 2 was only interested as long as I handled the toy and kept it moving which is not feasible to stay bent over

Used it with my 2 cats. Cat#1 had no interest. Cat # 2 was only interested as long as I handled the toy and kept it moving which is not feasible to stay bent over and moving it on the floor. He would have been much more engaged if it was attached to a dowel to create a wand toy. I would not leave a cat who is very engaged with it to play on its own as the legs are very thin and could present a swallowing hazard if the cat were to chew off the legs.

My kitties did not enjoy this centipede. They were curious at first and did chew on a couple tentacles. I tried to play with them with it but they were genuinely afraid of it. It has since laid on the floor for 3 days and no one likes it. The centipede is sort of sticky so it collects any and all hair.

Cat is uninterested

While my cat is picky with her toys, this type of toy usually catches her attention, but she is completely uninterested in the toy. Also the smell of it is horrible

While my cat is picky with her toys, this type of toy usually catches her attention, but she is completely uninterested in the toy. Also the smell of it is horrible. Im not sure if its supposed to smell like that, but it is a very chemical type smell, maybe thats why my cat doesnt like it.
