Do Not Buy

I had a similar experience to others. I took one look at that hummingbird beak and put it away for a week. It is unnecessarily long. Other than impailing him

I had a similar experience to others. I took one look at that hummingbird beak and put it away for a week. It is unnecessarily long. Other than impailing him he ignored the beak. He likes the hummingbird better than the butterfly partly because of the noise. He actually absolutely loved the toy, was very engaged but it is so poorly constructed he completely destroyed the hummingbird. It only took him one whack to tear off a wing. This toy is relatively expensive but it is a nice size for interacting with my cat. I have the wand now Playology make me some quality attachments.

Purrfect Playtime: Realistic, Loved by Cats, Needs Refills!

When putting it together we were a little disappointed in the quality of the toy and how short the line is from the handle to the toy. HOWEVER, when we turned it

When putting it together we were a little disappointed in the quality of the toy and how short the line is from the handle to the toy. HOWEVER, when we turned it on, the one cat we didn't expect to react so enthusiastic, was all over it, jumping 4-5 feet in the air, catching it and taking off looking for a place to hide it from the others. He did Not share it with his sister like usual, as until now he always let her have the toys. Not this one! He was growling and slapping... "It's mine!" The hummingbird is very realistic in how it moves but I don't know how long it will last. In a few minutes of interactive play, it has lost feathers and is well chewed. I would love for this toy to be improved by a few things: 1) safe for cats to chew (just don't know if it is in its current state), 2) have the toy breakaway at the toy instead of the motor so the cat can earn its prey, 3) come with refills (lots of them). All in all, great concept but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Cheers!

There is also a small bead on the belly of this bird which can easily get loose when playing with, and pose a potential danger if swallowed by the cat. Also, the butterfly was made of hard plastic which also can harm when moving/vibrating. The toy is also noisy, wand is very short therefore inconvenient to play with the cat. I would not let my baby to play with this dangerous toy!
