So far, I really like this fountain. It has different modes from intermittent to a steady flow. It defaulted to an intermittent flow from which it only triggers when it detects movement. You may need to set in a non high traffic area, otherwise it triggers the pump constantly. Mine has been working for several days now without having to recharge the pump. That was my biggest hook on this pump due to it being rechargeable. The flow from the pump is very gentle so it does not spray water any where but the bowl. Very easy to setup, I charged the pump for 24 hours with the included C charging cord, although there is not a charger block included, I did not expect there to be. Follow the easy instructions and setup takes only a few minutes. My cat took to it right away, she played with it for over an hour watching the flow of water and also drank a lot. It took my dog a little longer, but he was using it on the first day. It sets up higher than their regular water bowl, and I think it is easier for him to drink from. Just remember to recharge the pump every 2-3 days, and I do change the water daily, though it does have a filter. The only thing I did not like is the tub is plastic and I was expecting it to be stainless steel, like the top is. It is heavy plastic so I think it will last and as long as the pump holds up, I am really impressed with this so far.
