Is this safe for a budgie?

The perch is suitable for parakeets.

I have two sparrows I’ve raised now for over a month and they are my babies now, is this healthy for them to chew? They love their cuttlebone is this similar to that? Lori

The Small size is recommended for for parakeets, cockatiels, lovebirds and similar sized birds. The Large size is recommended or medium to large birds such as Greys, Eclectus, Hahns Macaws, Cockatoos and other similarly sized birds.

What type of cinnamon is used for this product?

This perch uses a small amount of McCormick ground cinnamon.

Broken

We ordered 3 for our non-profit bird rescue. All 3 were broken. We're still using them but they don't look like ice cream cones anymore.

My sun/jenday conure loved to chew this one to bits (past tense because he loved it that much!) lol he didn't perch on it much at all which is fine (I think it may have felt just a tad too short for him) but he thoroughly enjoyed chomping it. So I'll have to get this one again for him. Plus it's so darn cute, especially for summer. It was pretty sturdy too, it has a metal core in the center that is part of the attachment, so it didn't just fall off (if he had decided to chew at the base first the middle wouldn't fall off) like a Popsicle stick, which I thought was pretty smart design.

Huge - not in a good way

It is GINORMOUS and my Macaw is terrified of it. If your bird is a voracious mineral-block-chewer, or a fearless toy attacker, this will be ideal for your setup

It is GINORMOUS and my Macaw is terrified of it. If your bird is a voracious mineral-block-chewer, or a fearless toy attacker, this will be ideal for your setup and this will be the first block that will last a very long time. However, if your bird is somewhat afraid of objects that are almost as large as their body occupying the corner of their cage, then you will understand. My Macaw eyeballs this gigantic ice cream cone with suspicion.

I love this thing

I bought the small size for my cockatiel. The texture is fun for him to lick and chew on, it's a new texture for his feet and he sleeps on it at night. Plus I crack

I bought the small size for my cockatiel. The texture is fun for him to lick and chew on, it's a new texture for his feet and he sleeps on it at night. Plus I crack up every time i see him on it. My friend bought one for his flock too and it works well for his birds. Looking at the other reviews though...people need to give their birds more time to adjust to new things, try a millet/treat bribe or a new placement in the bird's cage. Each bird is different and wont like everything, that doesnt mean a product is bad. AND BIRDS CANT REALLY SMELL - it's good this isnt scented!!! This perch is very sturdy and is as advertised and I am very happy with it! Hoping for even more food-themed perches from Polly's in the future!
