What size would you recommend for my Fancy Green Cheek Conure?
Answer by ChewySep 12, 2018
The measurements of the Small perch are 12.5 inches long x 1 inch in diameter and the Large is 16 inches long x 2 inches in diameter. The Small is appropriate for most Conure, Cockatiel, Lovebird, and Parakeet size birds while the Large is better suited for Cockatoo and Macaw size birds.

How do I turn this so it’s facing out the picture says it folds but I can’t get it to stick out for my birds to use
Answer by ChewyJun 26, 2020
See the two attached images below. The perch arrives folded as in picture #1 (Folded). Then with a twist, it will unfold as in picture #2 (Unfolded). The perch does not twist easily for the safety of the bird.

Is the hardware on this stainless steel? I'm hoping it's not Zinc!

Our conure loves it!

It took him a few days to accept it but now he loves it. I keep it up pretty high so he just gets the steam.

Very cheaply made

I paid $28.86 for this shower perch that is maybe worth $3.00. My little cockatiel seems to be too heavy for the perch, as it starts to fall off the wall when he lands on it. Get your own pvc pipe, suction cups, screws and perch and make your own. It will probably be more sturdy.

Design flaw

The idea behind the product is a good one but the suckers do not hold to the tile or shower walls very well. Also the base where suction cups meet pvc pipe is not at all sturdy. The size is perfect for my quaker and cockatiel but it cannot hold their weight. Their weight (one bird) makes the base pull excessively on the cups making it lose it's hold. Please rethink your design. Birds like STABLE perches, not ones that give way.

Great Perch for Cockatiels

This perch is great! Our cockatiel Chicky has free roam of the house and loves hanging out in the bedroom. I attached this perch to the mirror and put a tray on the floor but the dogs kept knocking it around. Today I added a Rubbermaid container under it, by drilling 2 holes on each side and adding string. It works perfect! Thought I’d share this hack with others struggling with the mess under the perch. Oh and the zip tie is just because she loves playing with plastic :)

Best perch yet!

We love this perch... to say the least! We can move it to any window, glass door or even a smooth plastic surface (such as the fridge, lol). My bird loves to sit on it & watch the wild birds outside.. sometimes I catch her napping on it in the sun too.

Even small is BIG

These run big in my opinion. I ordered this for a Sun Conure. I got the small. But it's huge & unfortunately ALL of my parrots ( Sun conure, Rock conure, & Blue front Amazon) are terrified of it. None of them will even attempt to use it. I also mistakingly forgot to take it off my auto ship so now I have 2 that nobody will use.

Missing suction cup

Bought this for my 2 conjures. Received with only 1 suction cup. Disappointed because my son was looking forward to the joy of watching them play in the water. Still unable to have the birds take showers.

Very well made

I got on sale, I wouldn't pay full price. She hates showers, but she is perch trained to poop when you put her on a perch. So its great to stick on a window for wherever we sit to have as a place to put her so she can poop in the trash can underneath instead of on me! Its very sturdy for my conure, she doesn't slip with the grippy perch. You could put a larger bird, the diameter is pretty thick.

Broken arm

This stand has 2 suction cups that slide into PVC piping pieces which then attach to a middle piece where the stand protrudes from. I’m not sure if the suction pieces are supposed to rotate or unattach, but only one of mine does so either one is stuck or the other broke off. A part of it certainly seems broken, where the chunk is missing from it. It flops all over the place with this break. Also? The arm drops if my bird is too far on the end and he’s a relatively small conure.
