We got the heartbreaking news that our beloved Appy pony, Moose had very high levels of both organisms that contribute to EPM. We were quoted this medicine from one vet and it was $1200. So grateful we could get it through Chewy and treat all of ponies now instead of just the one.

Extremely affordable option for treating EPM

Many horses have to be treated a second or third time, for longer periods, or, any time they are under stress. This option from Chewy makes that much more affordable

Many horses have to be treated a second or third time, for longer periods, or, any time they are under stress. This option from Chewy makes that much more affordable so that my horse, who has very mild symptoms, can continue to work and stay fit to better combat the illness. Thank you, Chewy!

Affordable Rx for EPM.

I could not afford to purchase Marquis Rx for my horse's EPM symptoms so this was the next best option - as far as I know - that I could afford. Thanks Chewy!

Its powder..very fine dont breath type powder!

The very first dose, my horse snorted and blew the powder all over me and then tried eating it again..this went on for a bit. I really wish they would make it available in a paste or give us some options to dilute it with something so it doesn’t go everywhere. I literally did get some in my mouth & up my nose!! I guess it caught me and the horse by surprise. the pharmacy was excellent, but they said don’t add anything to it and that very fine powder went everywhere. first, the horse blew it out and it was everywhere! And thats how i got hit with it!. The pharmacy told me to wear gloves, but I think I needed a facemask too! However, if it works excellent because marquee is too expensive. at least I know now I won’t get EPM.lol I would like to update my review after four weeks to see how he’s responding to this. He responded well to marquee but again that is too expensive so we’re trying this. He needs to do three treatments because he was misdiagnosed many years ago so this is a Hail Mary.. so I’ll let you all know how well this works. Just be careful It is a powder and again very fine and it doesn’t stick to grain or pellets tomorrow I’m gonna try a little bit of alfalfa meal. They did say I could use that. you just can’t add water or liquid to it which would make it so much easier. if this happens to you your mouth will feel raw, but not bad.. The horse will eventually lick the pail. And i feel fine it was very little dust but enought to taste it so hold your breath!

The cost

This worked as well if not better than the very expensive name brand EPM meds.

Wish this came in smaller quantity

Vet prescribed 3 doses, had to buy 100 doses not covered by insurance. Additionally dog really didn't like the taste, so had to make capsules and "pill" her. But

Well tolerated

The product seems to be effective and is well tolerated by my horse. She turned her nose up at it the first time, but quickly decided it wasn't all that bad.

No problems with powder residue or other dosage concerns after the first day. Having gone through Marquis treatment with my other horse several years ago, I am thrilled to have an affordable and effective alternative.
