I had heard of and seen ice cream for dogs, but never tried it before despite having dogs all my life. I decided to go ahead and get these when I noticed one of my dogs (small Beagle mix) was really struggling to cool down fully after being out in the yard in the summer heat. Sure enough, this worked like a charm! I tested it on a hot summer day after Triscuit had been out frolicking in the yard for half an hour, and it cooled her down easily. She loved it and the size of the container allowed me to give some to our three purebred Beagles too. They all can sometimes be a little picky with dog food and treats, but the vanilla flavor was a hit with all of them. I’ll be trying the peanut butter soon as I’ve already got it frozen and ready to serve. It’s easy to mix and prepare, but if you have a strong freezer like we do, you may want to heat it up in the microwave for several seconds to make it easier to scoop and serve. I’ll be buying some of the other flavors now too, so there’s plenty for everyone. I did spoon-feed the ice cream to my dogs to prolong their enjoyment as our Beagles will devour it too quickly otherwise and I don’t think their slow feed bowls would help much with something of this consistency. But, if your dogs are actually capable of eating slowly and savoring things, putting some in a bowl or just giving them the container would be totally fine.

I didn't realize how small these were. Buy a single bigger size as it's a better value!
