Questions & Answers

Is the top loop that goes around the handle fixed? The door I'd like to hook it on is a slider and has a bar shaped handle instead of a knob. Wondering if I'd be able to attach it.

Answer by ChewyJun 30, 2018
This product has a fixed handle. If doorbell is unable to be hooked to door knob, it's recommended to place a hook near the door.

Where are these made?

Answer by ChewyMar 05, 2023
This potty doorbell is made in the USA.

Has this been used on the outside of the door for our four legged friend to let us know she wants to come back inside?

Answer by ChewyMay 07, 2020
These bells can be placed outside as a doorbell.

When we were trying to housebreak our puppy, I realized I could not see when she was at the patio door to go outside. I kept having accidents at the door. So I bought these bells and hung them on the patio door handle and tried to teach her to ring them. It took a while and several times I had to remove them because she wanted to eat them. But she learned and now rings the bell whenever she needs to go outside whether to pee or just run with the neighbors dogs. I really do recommend these.

Neeci is probably too smart for me. She caught on to ringing the bell to have me open the door after the first day. I thought she might have height issues and reaching it. But I think she thought of it as a game. Even my 6 year old Shih tzu is using them on the rare time she needs to go out and no one is heading that way. I worried about them learning how to use them, but they took to it quickly. I would buy them again and recommend them.

I bought these bells for my son to use training his 2 live-wire heeler mix pups. They are about 4 months old and have been shredding pee pads. They seem to get the idea that ringing the bells brings someone to open the door so they can go out to do their business. They are working on this but are not 100 per cent yet. These bells are on a cloth band and there are several.

It’s been about two weeks since we started our training and Jax has rang the bell on his own twice. I think Jax is still a little young at just over 4 months old. We will continue to work with him until he gets it. He started scratching at our other door. So, I’m not sure if the bells scare him or if he just avoiding that door. Time will tell, I suppose.
