Is the moose antler split or whole?

Answer by ChewyFeb 05, 2022
The moose antler is split.

Is this considered rawhide?

Answer by ChewyMay 07, 2020
These chews are made from 100% natural moose antlers and do not contain rawhide.

Is this digestible

Answer by ChewySep 22, 2022
These antlers are a 100% natural product and should only be fed as a recreational chew. These chews are not meant to be completely consumed. They should always supervise their pet while chewing and take the antler away if it becomes small enough to swallow.

UNSAFE

The size was nice, but the bone splintered very badly in this batch. I had to throw away to keep my dog and his gut safe.

Nope

My spoiled dog wouldn't touch these. Preferred the ones I brought back from Alaska.

This was the first time we tried this particular brand and we had to throw it away after 1 day. We have Molly (our 1 year old 10 lb Maltipoo) her new bone and she laid in my lap to chew on it. I noticed several tiny splintered pieces were on my robe after she stopped chewing on it. The next morning she chewed on it again and the same thing happened. Within a few hours and for the rest of the afternoon Molly threw up clear fluid with tiny streaks of blood in it. This happened a total of 4 times. She was “droopy” all day for lack of a better term. I sent my vet pictures and he felt that we needed to take the new bone away and that it was possible the tiny pieces had scraped at her esophagus or stomach. It was the only thing that was different about her routine or diet. After about 24 hours she was ok again. We threw the bone away and she hasn’t had anymore trouble.

My dogs (who are voracious deer Antler and yak chew lovers) Really had no interest. They usually work for hours on end, but they just shoved them around. I was disappointed because you called them "moose paddles" and they no more looked like a moose Antler than a cow ear.

Gave these to our two GSDs. We took them away as we noticed they started splintering. Within 45 minutes, one of our pups faces was swollen (even around her eyes). This antler was the only new thing introduced to her that day. I don’t know if there’s a chemical this company uses for drying/cleaning that caused the splintering and allergic reaction. But, rest assured, we’ll be getting antlers elsewhere.

Strong chewers

Just gave this to our 9 month yellow lab and these are for the most aggressive chewers and she had destroyed in a few days.
