I gave 2 starts because they do feel soft and firm enough for a cat to use them. Hoping my cat will eventually put them to use.

It only took a minute for fussy Trudy to get the hang of going up and down to get on and off the couch. Because of her long body abd stubby little legs, she developed arthritis. I didn't want her jumping on and off the furniture, but also wanted her to get on the couch to look out the window. She is a watch dog after all. I bought another one to keep in the car so I wouldn't have to move it every time we were driving somewhere. Doesn't matter where I put those steps, she knows to use them. Best investment ever!

Great idea for most pets

I bought this for my senior cat who fell and hurt her legs. She did ok going up, but couldn't walk back down. I was able to donate this to someone who needed it
