NOT FOR MICE

Our mouse has squeezed through this cage on multiple occasions. We've tried modifying it to attempt to mitigate this, be he keeps getting out. I would not recommend

Our mouse has squeezed through this cage on multiple occasions. We've tried modifying it to attempt to mitigate this, be he keeps getting out. I would not recommend this cage if you have a mouse or small hamster. Otherwise, I love the size of the cage and how easy it is to put together. I did find that some of the areas between bars were 1/2" so not as small as described.

I am very happy putting my little Syrian in this cage. It is so nice and spacious plus has the upper level as a bonus. The wire is close enough together there's no way he could get out but far enough I was able to install an extra wood perch as well as his waterbottle. He has his wheel and 4 hides in there which all fit quite nicely without limiting his room to roam. I highly recommend this cage and have even ordered a second for my other syrian.

Absolutely perfect! My Sookie loves his cage and has plenty of room for activities. I will say that when given the opportunity, always opt to size up to give your hammy more room to run around. However this cage is perfect for beginners like myself, just make sure you’re filling the base with an appropriate amount of bedding for burrowing. It helps that in the back, the gaps between the bars aren’t large enough to allow much bedding to escape so I can make more room for him to burrow back there as well. He is a Syrian and has no incidences of trying to escape, so I’d say the bars aren’t a problem in that regard. Just make sure to fill it with plenty to keep your hamster entertained!

Bought for our bear hamster and she liked it. It is quite large and takes up a good bit of space. The bars are more widely spaced so this would not be a good home

Bought for our bear hamster and she liked it. It is quite large and takes up a good bit of space. The bars are more widely spaced so this would not be a good home for smaller rodents. This would also probably be too small for larger pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, rats.

I bought this cage for my Syrian hamster. It is good size but not so large that it's impossible to find a place to put it in a smallish house. If you go online you'll find hamster lovers who poo poo most cages that aren't bigger than 700 sq ft. But most people don't have half a room for a hamster cage. Nor do they have the cash. The DYI cages, which are the current trend, require a handyman to make it work. The only drawback to this cage is the ramp. It cannot be removed unless you take the platform off. It's a hassle once you've got the hamster living in the cage. Also, when I got the cage I did notice some bend bars and it's impossible to bend them back. So a smaller pet could escape. And, of course, their really shouldn't be bend bars on a new cage.

Easy assembly

Easy to put together and lots of room. Possibly too big for my Russian dwarf hamster. It scares me when she climbs up the side and hangs from the top of the cage

Easy to put together and lots of room. Possibly too big for my Russian dwarf hamster. It scares me when she climbs up the side and hangs from the top of the cage. When she’s not doing that she burrows so much I hardly see her anymore. Maybe better for a bigger hamster.
