Roomy but about all it has going for it...
Pros: Decently roomy for 2 ferrets Bottom shelf (small one) Rolls Cons...oh the cons. For one, the cage only opens on one side which is a pain to clean. The platforms are a pain to get in there too especially since the side they go on is welded shut and as a ferret owner we know cleaning the cage is for sure a necessity. The ramps don't stay on, I had to zip tie them on because any time one of my ferrets just slightly bumped it, the ramp would fall. There is a bottom shelf to it but can't fit much on it. It has a wire bottom which is not good for ferret feet. My bottom door broke in less than a month so it's not hard to break either. Definitely worth it to just save the extra money and go for the ferret nation.
Chinchillas love this cage!
This is the 2nd cage we have bought for chinchillas.. Our daughter has acquired 3 chinchillas .. Her female has her own double cage the boys are new and are being bonded and share the cage top to one and bottom to the other for now but after they are bonded they will share the whole double cage.. Got this cage 2 day order right before xmas , the same ones in the store was triple the price.. I will come back always for more stuff from chewy! This cage cage is 10*s too!!
For those who wonder
This is not a rat friendly cage. For starters alone, the bar spacing is a smidge too big. I haven't gotten to the point where I could check yet but I noticed a "grate". If this is for the bottom of the cage, it's very much not appropriate for rodents as it can cause bumble foot.
Good price
This cage was a great price, but I think I'd spend more $$ in the future on a better product. Only one side of the doors open, so taking the tray out to clean is a pain - you spill everywhere! I'd like the bottom pan to have a higher lip too --- you can buy such a pan for other models, but not this one.
Excellent for ferrets
This cage is really great! My ferrets cannot escape through the bars and are safe and sound inside. It wasn't difficult to put together and didn't take a long time, either. The wheels make it easy to move around on carpet as well. Love the drawer that slides out to easily clean up the bottom part.
Good but has its flaws
Putting the cage together didn’t take too terribly long. Took us about an hour, it was fairly simple for the most part to put together. I will say though, one of the side panels didn’t match up and the bolt snapped trying to put it together. Some of the bars were bent as well but we were able to fix those. I house 3 rats in this cage and they fit really well and have lots of space. Overall I think it’s a good cage and worth the money but it does have it flaws.
Excellent!!
Easy to put together. One front panel brackets were on wrong but I can still use it due to the latch can be lached upside down. To me minor. I love it and so does my ferrets.
Nice size
Nice size cage. A little on the flimsy side, but good value for the sale price for sure!
not for rats
The cage it self works perfectly but I would not recommend getting it for rats at lest the ones I have were able to slip trough the bars with ease
Roomy and is bigger than pic
Athena absolutely loves her new enclosure! She is playing a lot more. She just seems so happy! Would recommend!
