Could this be used for rats?

For other small animals besides ferrets, Prevue Pet Products recommends the Deluxe Critter Cage, with a tighter 7/16 inch wire spacing.

For ferrets can you cover the plastic trays with fleece or something so they don't chew on the plastic

The platforms can be covered with beds or fleece to ensure your ferret doesn't chew on the plastic. Providing them with toys, ramps or tunnels will distract them as well.

If I buy 2 of these cages can I put them together to make it double the size?

These ferret homes are not able to be attached.

What are the measurements of the ramps? I am trying to find ramp cover for it. Also does prevue pet products sale them?

We love this cage for our ferrets. They have their bedroom up top and their litter box down at the bottom. They mostly are there just for bedtime, but they seem to like it! Only thing I would suggest is putting some kind of mat on the bottom. We cut to size like a garage floor mat and it works really well so their little nails don’t get caught down in the grates.

Too small

I bought this cage because the ferplast cage I already had was too hard to clean. However, it seems I made a big mistake. The first issue is that the cage is just

I bought this cage because the ferplast cage I already had was too hard to clean. However, it seems I made a big mistake. The first issue is that the cage is just too small. My ferrets just don't have room to romp or do anything other than sleep and eat. The second issue is that there is only one door on each level. The whole thing doesn't open up, only one side. This makes it harder to clean, sort of defeating the purpose of buying this. Also, the hinges feel like they could break at any moment, terrible quality. The third issue is the wire bottom on the top level. They should have included a tray. I put down cardboard with pee pads and blankets, but my ferrets are going to destroy that. A couple positives are that the bars and everything else are sturdier than the ferplast cage, and it has a shallow tray on the bottom level that you can fill with bedding. I'm going to have to sell this and use the money to buy a Frisco cage. I'll have to move some furniture around to fit it, but that's better than this.

I already have two of the feisty ferret cage in my camper! I needed one more due to the fact I have 5 separate groups of ferrets and yes I take them all camping!

Took me less than an hour to put it together - and I have never built anything in my life. Very easy! The only challenge I had was getting the ramps to clamp on

Amazing refund.

The cage I bought had a damaged area and they had no issues replacing the order. The cage itself is super sturdy and really big, so im not sure how this happened

4 years in and loving it
