It's a nice little hideout for male birds! However, if you plan on putting it in a cage that has females, do be aware that they're gonna assume it's a breeding nest. It turned one of my "male" budgies into a female.
I bought this a few months ago for my teddy bear hamster, I'd read some reviews on it and they were pretty good. I finally got to place it in my hamster's habitat (he used to pee off the side of his cage, so I didn't trust him with us mutli story cage until recently), and I first put it in with the supplied metal latches. I came to the cage the next morning, he'd somehow climbed on top of the shell and chewed the twin strap completely clean off the latch and the shell was hanging by the ladder attachment. So I tried it back up but just worn the twine and not the latch. Next morning, he had chewed the twine completely off the shell itself rendering it unusable now... There goes a cool product working 48 hours of using it... Such a cute concept, but even for birds who chew it isn't a sturdy, solid choice... Sad it didn't work. Tried to attach a photo but it won't let me.
Thiago loves his new coconut! When I looked at the local pet store for another one for my other bird it was at least $8.00 more
My parakeets love this toy and fight over who gets to go in it. Because only 1 can fit at a time
My mice sleep in this constantly! They love it . I would 100% buy again
My rats don't use this at all as it's too small. I do sometimes use it as a hiding place for treats to encourage foraging.
Ummmmm.....I think my parakeets liked this coconut house a little too much!!! Hahahahaa.....
I bought this for my parakeets and my bird, Lime, even went inside of it. It fits one parakeet perfectly and is such a cute edition to their cage!
I love it I think it's so cute and looks comfy however my Leo's are not interested in it at all
I mean my bird doesn't love it, but I think its super cute. Maybe one day he'll go inside.. im leaving it in there!
