Using bamboo, coconut shell and other sustainable products

To be honest, I thought it looked really nice. I was looking for an alternative to cuttlefish bones, the mineral blocks that turn into dust, and having to sterilize

To be honest, I thought it looked really nice. I was looking for an alternative to cuttlefish bones, the mineral blocks that turn into dust, and having to sterilize branches for hardwood. It seems our parrot will not "chew" on just any branch or material. I find it rather fascinating to see her beak-test things in her cage. Her perches were the first to go, or then a a cuttle bone holder, finally prized branches from elusive trees. (lol) While parrots require very specific densities of their materials used to wear down their beaks, this has yet to be an enrichment toy. It does look cool, and I’m still buying the colored blocks and cleaning up rainbows in her water dish. Though, I am not complaining. :)
