Prevue Pet Products Parrot Bird Cage

I needed to hang our birdcage from the ceiling because we have a dog and a cat who are both inside animals. I asked Chewy to check with the manufacturer to see if the cage could be safely hung from the ceiling. The manufacturer said that although the handles on the cage were not attached where they could be used for hanging, the cage was probably able to be safely hung. I was able to gently pry the handles from their original location and move them to the top of the cage. I already had a sturdy hook in the ceiling from a previous cage so I used 50lbs picture hanging wire which I strung from each handle. I doubled the wire and used a wrap, like the way guy wires are secured to secure them. Before I hung the cage, I used a plier whose jaws were wrapped with tape to prevent scratching the cage finish, to close each hook tightly, which insured that the cage would hold together. It worked well and the cage, with two cockatiels is hanging safely and securely in our family room. It was easy to do and it made this cage the perfect cage for our situation. You can buy it with the confidence that it can safely be hung.
