Is there any lead or zinc in the cage? Or i. any material used to quickly dry the powder-coated paint?

The metal material used to make the cage is steel. Steel is considered a safe metal for birds and the cage does not contain any zinc or lead. Prevue Pet Products cages are 100% non toxic and pet safe. There are no heavy metals used that would cause any harm. There is no galvanized steel in our products. They also do not use zinc, lead, or other heavy metals in the production of their cages. Paint chipping can be harmful to birds when the cages are made with lead or zinc, however, their cages are not. When there are chips in the paint of the cage, they do typically recommend touching up the cage with pet-safe touch-up paint. Similar to ingesting the non-toxic paint on the cage, they would also not recommend ingesting metal pieces of the cage despite the cage being made of steel.

Very easy set up

Poor quality from a prestigious brand

The cage overall will work for my sun conure. He got a downgrade due to space issues for the time being and I went with Prevue for the simple reason of that I knew

The cage overall will work for my sun conure. He got a downgrade due to space issues for the time being and I went with Prevue for the simple reason of that I knew they were good quality. It came in dented in multiple places some not shown because the cage is set up already. The door doesn't line up properly and makes it difficult to open and shut. I'm honestly disappointed but it will have to do for the time being.
