I was assured by a local shop that Plaque Off was the answer to struggling with toothbrushing for my two dogs', so I used that for several years.. My labradoodle, after using Plaque-Off for several years, needed a dental cleaning requiring sedation and within 3 months the plaque was back. My new vet recommended more effective agents, so I fed a C.E.T. product for my two dogs. When my baby with the plaque accumulation first chomped on the product, her mouth was bloody (and probably sore). But within days the swelling was gone, and after a week her plaque was completely dissolved! Check with your veterinarian to find products that work. Plaque-Off was a huge hit as a treat for my dogs, but it did NOTHING for their dental health. I now use C.E.T. Enzymatic Chews, careful to watch for any gulping, and both my dogs adore the treats; teeth cleaned like never before.

I was really excited for my dog to try these after doing a bunch of research on VOHC approved products, and she loved them for the first few nights she got one before bedtime. Then, one made her vomit and I found mold on them. The bag had only been opened for maybe four or five days and was in tact on delivery, not expired. I will be trying a different brand, especially after seeing other reviews of people having similar experiences. Would have given no stars but that wasn't an option! Chewy's customer service to resolve it, however, was excellent.
