I have a couple of these and really enjoy using them for my dogs more as a food mat then a lick mat. It’s a very simple and basic design that lets you use it for a few different purposes. Sometimes I put it underneath lick mats that have all those little section cups to make it easier on me to prepare and then move the lick mat. The lip around the edge also helps keep messes a little more contained. Sometimes I spread stuff on it and freeze it, which is easier to do with this one because it doesn’t have suction cups. Other times I just use it as my dog‘s breakfast bowl or as a plate for a messy treat. I don’t think the different scents/flavors matter. That part might be more of a gimmick. I also think the company’s thing about only donating 1% is kind of silly because that’s the lowest percentage I’ve ever heard of lol. The little grooves that it has aren’t really significant so it’s not a true lick mat in a texturized sense. But they are super easy to wash and I often put mine on the top rack of the dishwasher. They are holding up very well after several months of continuous use. I have two and just bought a third because it’s become such a go-to item for me in preparing meals and treats.
