How much would a 16.5lb dog take? I don't see a reference on how much to give your dog.

Use once daily. Administer with provided scoop, 1 scoop for each 40 pounds. For pets under 40 pounds, use one scoop.

Is this to be used in place of bones when feeding raw?
Answer by ChewyNov 15, 2020
For nutritional value, ground up bones or bone meal can be included in every meal, as long as the ratios of calcium to phosphorus are monitored and measured accurately. Consult a veterinarian to ensure the proper balance.

My dog was not willing to try it based on smell

We were looking for novel protein bone broth powders to help with our dogs hydration levels during chemo. Mixing it with water, it smelled awful to me and my dog wouldn't come near it. It would have to be snuck in food in small amounts to be palatable, but it does not mix well with water- it feels like there's always a sandy substance at the bottom and smelled like a dusty smokers couch.

Not a fan!

Neither dog will touch their food with this on it. Tried it three times, even with a little water, and its a no go. Unfortunate waste of money.

My dog LOVES it!

My dog loves this stuff. We add it to dry kibble and add water and it almost makes a gravy - and our dog cannot get enough of it. We were having issues with him eating his new food (he needed to lose a few lb's and he is still not happy about it), but this does the trick. I would definitely recommend this for people who want to sneak in some extra nutrients for their pup! Super easy to do + it supports a good cause.

Doesn't last very long

I bought this because my dog has been having anal gland issues since December. We've been back and forth to the vet. I don't think this is working, plus for a large dog, it doesn't last very long so it's pretty expensive. My vet did not advise me to buy this; I've been adding fish oils etc as a supplement to his treatment. I wouldn't buy this again though. I don't think it's helping his problem.

Has hair in it.

I just opened this to give my dog and it has hair in it. I'm not feeding my dog random hair.

Palatable powder

We felt that our 91/2 year old Boxer needed a collagen supplement to help him heal from a recent injury and for all the other benefits which are reported to be part of this supplement. The simple ingredients of this product is why we chose it over the others. Our Boxer loves to chew on antlers, so we thought he wouldn't turn his nose up at this powder on his food, and we were right. He seemingly took no notice of the powder which we sprinkle on his meals, so we would say there is no problem with the palatability of this product and we would not hesitate to recommend it. As for results, Bugsy has healed up and is acting more frisky than he was before his injuries, but we don't know if this bone broth powder can be the reason.
