Is this to be used in place of bones when feeding raw?

Answer by ChewyNov 15, 2020
For nutritional value, ground up bones or bone meal can be included in every meal, as long as the ratios of calcium to phosphorus are monitored and measured accurately. Consult a veterinarian to ensure the proper balance.

can this be given to a puppy?

Answer by ChewyMar 13, 2020
Bone broth is rich in collagen and will help support a healthy gut, joints, immune system, skin, and coat. This is safe for use with puppies, but we always suggest checking with your vet when adding any supplements to your pet's diet.

Calcium needed in diet

So far so good my dogs love it. I'm easing them into it. The ingredients are as clean as they come

Bone broth powder

It’s too much for my dogs, they don’t like the consistency I think. I need to use 3 scoops for each dog. Not an affordable option for me. Plus they don’t like it

My dog was not willing to try it based on smell

We were looking for novel protein bone broth powders to help with our dogs hydration levels during chemo. Mixing it with water, it smelled awful to me and my dog

We were looking for novel protein bone broth powders to help with our dogs hydration levels during chemo. Mixing it with water, it smelled awful to me and my dog wouldn't come near it. It would have to be snuck in food in small amounts to be palatable, but it does not mix well with water- it feels like there's always a sandy substance at the bottom and smelled like a dusty smokers couch.

Not a fan!

Neither dog will touch their food with this on it. Tried it three times, even with a little water, and its a no go. Unfortunate waste of money.

My personal opinion

Neither of my dogs would eat their food with this topper on it and I do not have fussy eaters.

My dog LOVES it!

My dog loves this stuff. We add it to dry kibble and add water and it almost makes a gravy - and our dog cannot get enough of it. We were having issues with him

My dog loves this stuff. We add it to dry kibble and add water and it almost makes a gravy - and our dog cannot get enough of it. We were having issues with him eating his new food (he needed to lose a few lb's and he is still not happy about it), but this does the trick. I would definitely recommend this for people who want to sneak in some extra nutrients for their pup! Super easy to do + it supports a good cause.

Has hair in it.

I just opened this to give my dog and it has hair in it. I'm not feeding my dog random hair.
