Each dog is different, so optimal feeding amounts vary with age, size, activity level, breed or environment. Continue 7-12 mo. Feeding guideline up to 18 months of age for small breeds. Pregnant/Nursing Mothers may eat 2-3 times the recommended daily amount by age. Divide total recommended feeding amount per day into number of times you feed your dog. If loose stools occur, first try to reduce quantity fed to dog and/or avoid feeding other foods & treats until stool becomes firm.
When transitioning to Pureluxe Elite Nutrition do so over a period of 5-7 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% and so on until Pureluxe is 100%. Try to avoid too many treats during this time frame.

My dog loves the PureLUXE Healthy Activity food! He was immediately interested in the aroma when I opened the bag, and he happily devours his meals. As a human, I think it has a light pleasant poultry-like scent. I like that the bag has a zip seal to keep his food fresh. The morsels are smaller than a dime, and would be fine to feed to dogs of any size, and are a good size for my 40 pound Australian Cattle Dog. I feel good about feeding him food that contains Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids to help keep his immune system healthy. Most importantly for my dog, he enjoys the flavor.

Now let’s talk the tiny breeds I have had tiny breeds for years and never have I ever had a dog food so small. My little three pound Yorkies love this food and doesn’t have to eat jawbreakers. So many plus’s with this food and ingredients is just one.

He is crazy for this formula and is very attentive during sessions with it. The ingredients are good to include as much bone meal as possible without grain for pets that need it. The cat got a few kibble and he like it too, these animals are both quite picky, high ratings here!

I'm not happy with the size of the kibble. It is really small for my 90 lb dog. The packaging is great and mentions everything you need to know right on the front. I haven't looked but I hope they have a very large size bag for me to purchase. It does not smell like the other kibbles that I buy. The smell is enticing to them. I fully recommend for your dogs health.

I have been looking for a high quality food to supplement her diet for when we travel or just need a snack between meals. This Pure Luxe dry food looks to be of good quality, my little girl won't eat it. The pellets are very small, she did try it while watching TV, she enjoys snacks on the sofa. Not really her favorite. Maybe another flavor would work. Once again, my dog is a very picky, spoiled princess and perhaps other dogs would love this food

However, she is 45 lb and the pieces of kibble were very small and seemed more suited to a smaller breed dog. I beleive she was gesitant about this food in the beginning due to its small size.

So don't consider my four-star rating a knock on this food’s quality. We've only gone through a single 4-lb bag, but so far, I’m impressed. First off, this seems like a very high-quality, high-protein food. It’s got 31% protein, which is great if your dog needs a high-protein diet. The first ingredient is deboned turkey, followed by a lineup of clean, high-quality legumes and other ingredients. The list reads well—there’s no filler junk, no mystery meat, and nothing that screams “cut corners.” My dog ate this food very well. That said, she eats most things pretty well—none of us in this household (human or animal) are particularly picky eaters. But she’s developed what I’d call a refined palate. She’ll eat cheaper food, sure, but not without giving me a look like, "Really? This again?" With this food, there was no hesitation. She dove in happily. Her energy levels have been great, and her stools have stayed consistent and healthy. As always, I recommend transitioning gradually, and that’s what we did. I was genuinely impressed, especially with the ingredient sourcing. I'm picky about where protein comes from. I don’t care if meat is the first ingredient if that meat spent six weeks on a cargo ship from who-knows-where. In this case, it looks like a high-quality protein source with thoughtful formulation behind it. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. This is a well-made dog food that checks a lot of boxes for me.

He has been a historically picky eater and really does seem to enjoy this brand/flavor. The only thing I have noticed is that he was a 1x poop / day and now he goes 2x/day. His stools are healthy, but massive. I don't know if it's the pre/probiotics or maybe the fiber rich legumes that are causing this. I also don't think it's a bad thing - just something to be aware of when you start!

My scottish terrier prefers a small kibble so of course she gobbles this down with no complaints. My larger Basset mix thinks its too dainty and prefers a big girl bite. Just a side note, it contains Flaxseed which is a great nutritional add. I feed it to my horses and it gives them a lovely shiny coat.
