+1 cup for every 13 lbs. Each Cat is different, so optimal feeding amounts vary with age, size, activity level, breed or environment. Pregnant or Nursing mothers may consume 2-3 times the recommended daily amount.
When transitioning to Pureluxe Elite Nutrition do so over a period of 5-7 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% and so on until Pureluxe is 100%. Try to avoid too many treats during this time frame.

I got this because of the Healthy Weight. Gracie is chubby. She has short legs so worried about the toll the weight will have on her legs she is 10 yrs old weight is 11.03 lbs. She likes this food, I just wish this had bigger kibble. She swallow the small kibble more then she chews it, which ends in coming up few days later. I'm towards the end of the second bag of weight control and hairball control in one, first bag purchased 2/1/2025. She has not lost any weight and still throws up the kibble and hairball, she has medium hair length. I mixed this PURELUEX Elite Nutrition Healthy Weight with the weight control and hairball control to transition her to the new food, she is still not totally on the new food yet. She is scooting her behind on the carpet since she has been transitioning to this food. Hope this gets her weight off her, it would be great. Now need hairball control to mix with this food. I also love the cat photo on the bag, it's very nice.

I received the pure luxe grain and gluten free cat food healthy weight elite nutrients Turkey, Chicken, Salmon. I have two cats. One is a senior cat and the other is a two year old cat. My senior cat refuses to eat it. I have tried many times, but she walks away. I even tried to mix it in her food. No luck. When I introduced it to my two year old female she also walked away. I mixed it with her food and she ate around it. I have also tried many time. After a few days, to my surprise she started eating a full bowl of it and asked for more. We have success! I liked that it came with a nice closure of the bag with a full seal. I also like that the morsels were a small size. They had a smell of real food. I am pleased that the ingredients are healthier than other foods I have tried to give them. I will definitely make this a good addition to their foods. Still hoping that my senior cat will come around to eating it.

However, after offering it several times and trying desperately to make it my cats only choice for his meals, no luck. A quick run to the bowl, a quick sniff and another quick meow and walk away. Im sorry to say it was not a favorite in this cat house.Not sure why. I guess just the cats being finicky as they’re known to be. Silly kitties!

I started feeding Mittens Pureluxe Elite Nutrition Healthy Weight Turkey, Chicken Meal & Salmon Grain-Free about a month ago, and I’ve already noticed a big difference. She hasn’t had a single hairball since starting this food, and she seems to tolerate it really well. The kibble is tiny and easy for her to chew, and she finishes her bowl every time! I also love that it’s made in the USA. Highly recommend for cats with hairball issues or picky eaters.

While both my cats did like the Pureluxe Elite Nutrition Healthy Weight Turkey, Chicken dry cat food. My cat Taz that eats mostly dry liked it more. My Siamese Mocha
While both my cats did like the Pureluxe Elite Nutrition Healthy Weight Turkey, Chicken dry cat food. My cat Taz that eats mostly dry liked it more. My Siamese Mocha ate a few pieces, but then walked away from it. Taz was happy for the extra ones & gobbled them down. I was disappointed in the very small pieces & cost per bag & the high calorie count for a weight control product. I use other weight control products with way less calories, higher protein & larger pieces. I doubt that I would purchase this item again.
