100 lbs + 3.5 cups + 1/4 cup per 10 lbs of body weight Each dog is different, so optimal feeding amounts vary with age, size, activity level, breed or environment. Puppies/Pregnant/Nursing Mothers may require up 2-3 times more food than an Adult. Divide total recommended feeding amount per day into number of times you feed your dog. If loose stools occur, first try to reduce quantity fed to dog and/or avoid feeding other foods until stool becomes firm.
When transitioning to Pureluxe Elite Nutrition do so over a period of 5-7 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% and so on until Pureluxe is 100%. Try to avoid too many treats during this time frame.

Pieces too small for my big dog to enjoy
This looks to be a very good food based on the ingredient list. I like the fact that it contains glucosamine and chondrotin as these are supplements I give my dog
This looks to be a very good food based on the ingredient list. I like the fact that it contains glucosamine and chondrotin as these are supplements I give my dog on a regular basis. Let me preface my review with the acknowledgement that my girl is a very picky eater. I have not found any food that she eats well. I believe the size of the pieces of this dog food was one thing my girl did not like about it. She is a Great Pyrenees and seems to prefer the larger pieces found in large breed dog foods. The pieces of this dog food are tiny - it would be a great size for very small dogs. She did eat this food about as well as she eats any food - ate a bit then left the rest.

The packaging is premium and had a premium closure included to keep the food fresh! The kibble size is very small. Would probably be best for smaller dogs. My 50lb Mix made short work of the small kibble. She did love it and ate every bit of it. The feeding directions would be better if it were in cups and not by weight. Most people use a scoop as opposed to weighing the food.

This seems like a high quality pet food, but the pieces of food are just so small. We used it as an add-on and sprinkled it onto their food. They seemed to enjoy it, no stomach issues or anything like that - but the pieces were flying across the room as my larger dog (56 pounds) was eating them out of his slow feeder bowl. It really seems like this food should be for a toy breed size dog because each piece is probably 1/3 the size of our normal food. I don’t have any interest in chasing down flying kibbles, and without a slow feeder bowl this kibble would be gobbled down entirely too fast.

I was excited to try this product because of the great ingredients. As an owner of 2 senior dogs, I am constantly on the look out for healthy options. I have a lab and a jack russell. I started out mixing it with their current food. They both loved the taste, especially my small girl. The real issue we had was with the lab, the food is very small sized. Actually looks like cat food. It was difficult for him to eat. So I probably would not purchase again , only for that reason.

I have 5 dogs and I got this for the three smaller ones (two border Collie mixes and a cocker spaniel). The kibbles are quite small and would be great for Chihuahuas

The kibbles are quite small and would be great for Chihuahuas or other dogs of similar size, but my dogs loved it. It comes with a zipper on the top of the bed which is handy for those who keep the food in the bag. I have a bin so I didn't need to use it. Would recommend.
