+1 cup for every 13 lbs. Each Cat is different, so optimal feeding amounts vary with age, size, activity level, breed or environment. Pregnant or Nursing mothers may consume 2-3 times the recommended daily amount.
When transitioning to Pureluxe Elite Nutrition do so over a period of 5-7 days, mixing an increasing amount of new food with old food each day: Start with 75% old food mixed with 25% new food for approximately three days. Then mix 50% old with 50% and so on until Pureluxe is 100%. Try to avoid too many treats during this time frame.

This holistic grain-free kibble comes in a bag with one of those awesome hook & loop type closures. The artwork on the bag is stylish, and the ingredients list is fabulous! I always like it when the ingredients include some diverse vegetables, like a hunter might get from prey. This kibble includes cranberries, kelp, and flax seed! The kibble shape is flat little circles which should be pretty easy for cats to crunch. I suspect this is an excellent food choice. I wish I could say more, but my cats are not into it. :( They prefer the kibble they've been getting, so I can't speak to how tasty it is to them, hence only three stars.

We have 4 barn cats, and one of them is snuck into my daughter's room on a daily basis. We keep cat treats to give to her when she comes in the house. She does not get along with the other cats outside, so I decided to use this food to supplement her diet. I am not sure how often she approaches the food bowl in the barn. She liked it immediately and we have been giving her small bowls every day. The kibble size is small, but that did not seem to matter. The food seems to have a good ingredients list, and I feel better knowing that we are giving her real food and not just cat treats. It is pricier than our regular cat chow, but it is a good option if you want to spend more.

When I first received this food, I emptied their usual food from the cat bowls and filled them with the new food. They approached the food with curiosity and only one of the cats (the youngest) ate some. The kibbles were much smaller than the food they are used to, but I didn't think it would be a problem. I noticed the next day that the food bowls were just about as full as the day before, usually the four cats will empty most of their dishes. I then switched strategies because I was concerned they weren't eating. I put the PureLuxe in 2 bowls, and their usual food in the other two. The PureLuxe bowls went untouched while the other bowls were empty. Our neighbor's cat often comes over to eat, so I tried it out on him. He ate some but not as much as he usually eats. I really wanted them to love this food because of it's nutritional benefits.

I have a couple of very picky cats that sniffed it then turned their noses up at it, but for the most part the rest of my cats liked it and quickly finished the bag. I also appreciate that the company is transparent about where the ingredients are sourced.

I do feed her both wet and Pure Luxe kibbles and she really loves it. Food looks and smells great, elite nutrition like Omega 3 and live probiotics, antioxidant rich superfoods and grain free. I really like all the ingredients in this food and there’s very little controversy but my cat is used to eating an all fish ingredient food (he has sensitivity to chicken) and so I thought turkey would be a good alternative to try. He liked this food as a treat but expects his usual food at his regular lunch time. He’s blind and has a very sensitive nose and there’s no fooling him. My other cat (shelter cat) however, will eat the gum off your shoe and gobble gobble gobbles this up.

It contains live probiotics, so I was able to stop buying a secondary probiotic supplement for him, since it is already in the food.

I tried it because it’s grain free, made with real turkey and made in the USA. I also liked that it seemed to be a healthy food option for him but Charles is picky and just didn’t like it.
